🚨Another Upset! 😲 Cote d'Ivoire 🇨🇮 miss back-to-back #Wafcon🔥 Cote d'Ivoire are condemned to back-to-back Women's Africa Cup of Nations miss after they were eliminated by Tanzania 4-2 on penalties. The former got a 2-0 first leg win, but the Tanzanites turned the table around to progress via the lottery of penalty kicks into the second round of the 2024 Wafcon qualification series. |

Deltamani: Most of these African ex players just sit around after retirement, waiting for juicy positions. They don't have any knowledge of management. Most of those ex players in Europe who went on to hold positions in their respective FAs, UEFA etc actually studied various sports management courses whether as a Diploma course or Degrees. That's why they usually know what to do when they get those positions. You think a big club like Ajax will just give Edwin Van Der Sar a position of CEO in the club without any knowledge of management? Van Der Sar studied sports management course, that's why he could hold such position, and he did very well at Ajax as a CEO. If tomorrow, he becomes the FA president of Netherlands or he enters UEFA or FIFA, he'll replicate that experience there too and do well. 1 Like 1 Share |

Countries like Morocco, South Africa and Zambia who didn't participate in the qualifiers at least played two-legged friendlies but Nigeria refused to engage any country. NFF is just shame! May Cape Verde not surprise us as Cameroon and Cote d' Ivoire were knocked out oooo |
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by lovewins: 8:02am On Sep 27, 2023 |
solonnachi: There are many things to blame the NFF for, this however isn't one of them. Unlike South Africa and Morocco, Nigeria wasn't initially exempt from the first round. We were scheduled to play Sao Tome, they however withdrew days to the game. There was no way the NFF could have scheduled a friendly with a team (mind you most teams in Africa were participating in the qualifiers and European teams were playing the Nation's cup) within that period of time. Also, it didn't even make sense financially for the NFF to insist that the ladies come despite the cancellation. The withdrawal of Sao Tome saved the NFF some money. Really hoping we get top friendlies for the ladies, but the NFF isn't to blame on this one. 8 Likes 1 Share |
