Two reasons I can think of.
1. The Witnesses are obsessed with DIFFERENCE and go out of their way to emphasise how different they are from other religions, especially Christians.
2. All religious people have a confirmation bias - thus, they flatly REFUSE to consider anything that might contradict their belief and seek out anything that confirms it. The Witnesses just take this to the extreme - so they will not countenance ANY FORM of exposure to materials from other churches less they're "led astray".

We were even told to hear the son after saying he was pleased with him.

Peter got the revelation from the Spirit of God. Jesus acknowledged the spirit of God.

For Jesus to start his ministry, He had God's and the Holy Spirit's validation.

The apostles could not do anything until the Holy Spirit came upon them. Jesus also said that they (the apostles) would not be able to perform (do anything) without him.

With Jesus' backing and the power of the Holy Spirit, the Apostles did great things for God.

This shows the synergy between God, His Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit. From this, one can infer that they have the same mind and are the same person.
