I would have thought the marriage certificate would be enough. Why would they want pictures and WhatsApp chats?

Why so difficult?
Jeff0983:
Guys please is Pictures , chats history, marriage certificate ( but not up to 3 months old) bank statements showing money sent to each enough for UK dependent visa?
Though we would be adding NIN because our NIN has the same Naija address but we have only been in Nigeria together for just 10 months, we also want to add SHEIN invoice 🧾 showing our address in Dubai from 2021 , will this be acceptable because we don’t have bills paid with both our names or tenancy agreement with both name, I have mailed the housed I lived in in Dubai to add my wife’s name to the contract but the said it against their policy and I don’t want to forge anything

Apart from dependent passport
Tb test certificates
police clearance

Our pictures together is from 2020 to 2023
WhatsApp Chat history is from 2020 to 2023
Bank statements showing money sent to each other is from 2021 to 2023
SHEIN invoices is from 2021
NIN is just 10 months.
We want to submit our visa by Monday

Honestly marriage certificate should be okay but seems UK wants to recolonize us again, even after marriage certificate, pictures (101 pictures), WhatsApp chats and some invoice with bank statements my agent is asking for tenancy agreement on both of our names before he can apply.

Hello everyone… please is there any implication for piercing one’s baby’s ear at home ? One of the midwives that came to check the baby today was saying she was going to check with social services to see if it was legal. The baby’s ear was pierced by my mum. Should I be worried ? Kindly share your views. Thanks

All you need is marriage certificate, and if you want maybe some photos of the wedding. It’s if you’re not married that you need proof of joint residence.

I don’t understand what you’re using an agent for in the first place.

It’s not UK that wants to ‘recolonise’ you, whatever that means. It’s you that has seen what is on the website and are fully capable of applying for yourself through their very simple process but still wants to go through an agent, complicate the process and adding third party risk into a straightforward application.

Of course, be very worried. This singular act, can be deemed a form of abuse.
By extension, next thing might be traditional marks or FGM.

It’s not classed as abuse and it’s not illegal.

There’s nothing to be very worried about.

You dey fear?
You're still thinking, RM jobs are in high demand o. By the time you apply, space fit don finish.
Worked there as a mail sorter in my early days in this country (I presume that's the job you'll be applying for). Not much physical effort required, the mailbags you go need to lift from time to time no pass the 25 litre jerrycans of fuel for the home generator wey we dey lift enter boot for petrol station on a regular as part of the Nigerian experience. No fear.
Boss...do they require UK experience before hiring someone?

Or someone needs to put "one or two things" into one's CV?

There is no minimum age for most body piercings but performing genital or nipple piercing on someone under the age of 16 could be considered an offence. In order to be able to carry out the piercing procedure a licence is required. Many local authorities set an age limit of 16 years old as a condition of the licence.

Emphasis on the last section

Social worker too was unsure of legal position, let's await OP's update.

In our own application, we only submitted what’s on our checklist and that’s it. No NSF mail and visa was out within 2 weeks.

The process is straight forward, i wonder why people use agents for Visa applications.

The bolded is a wrong thing to say. Pls change your mindset and reasoning as soon as possible.

Marriage certificate is enough proof of marriage and you can complete your application by yourself.
The Agent can even mess up your application for you.

I don’t have any issues if the want to colonize us again sef, our leader no d try but for me using an agency for my visa , the agency is licensed by UKVI and it’s from then I go my job , in fact the whole process is with them starting from the school I did my CNA ( certified nursing assistant)in Dubai, the school is affiliated to them , after graduating from the school you will have a chance to use the agency to help you get a job and apply for your visa , so it’s not like I got a job somewhere else and want an agent to apply my visa for me.

Please submit tenancy agreement if you have it in both your names.

Your agent is correct.

Recently, there was a change in the questions asked during Partner's application.

You have to prove that you and the main applicant has been living together in a said address for at least two years.

If your answer is NO, you will be asked why?

Your agent is very right.

Don't make any move until the new COS is out and they've updated your offer to say full time. What they've done is very shady and you will be the only one to suffer the consequences if things goes south. What's normally done is give you the unconditional offer with the correct details and you start when the COS is available. HR teams within the NHS know how the COS thing works so the fact that they're encouraging you to skirt the rules is quite strange and disturbing. My advice is stick to your current job, wait till the COS becomes available then submit it to them and request and update of the unconditional offer before starting. They're already neck deep, they can't turn you back at the point. All the best.

You're talking about something absolutely different here. The OP asked about ear piercings, and you're talking about FGM, nipple piercings etc. what's the relation?

Yes I know he’s correct but my tenancy agreement is only on my name alone but my wife and I have different SHEIN invoices of purchase we made that was delivered to the same address since 2021, though before leaving Dubai I approached my landlord to give us a letter stating that we both lived in the building but he said they only do that for people who cheque while as we were paying monthly rent so he didn’t give us the letter, I almo mailed them 3 days ago telling them the embassy needed the letter which they replied that it was against their policy which till I don’t understand what that policy had to do with just letter after paying more than AED48k during my 1 year and 6 month living there.

Don't blame them, blame our people who misused that dependent visa slot by selling to people posing as dependents. Its because of stress like this I always advise couples to apply together if they can at the outset.

Hello

@the bolded

UKVI do not license agents

They may however request you get a registered adviser from Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC) for asylum cases for example.

Cheers
