Having come that far , these two would have still been together without marriage. Whichever relationship you find yourself enjoy it and be happy. It mustn't be marriage.There are no guarantees.

Then we get to work picking "the one" through various processes of rationalizing ordinarily disconnected behaviors to support our choice. From there the delusion progresses until it is either shattered by reality or we continue to build even more mental prisons to keep us in it as long as we want.

It's a recurring theme.

Even Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt got a divorce within 2 years, despite dating for over 10 years and having kids.

Don't ask me the moral of the story, I don't know.

You all are making some serious assumptions here which is that the relationship wasn't already fractured before the marriage. We know all too well that many choose to enter into marriage even with glaring red flags. These two may have been no different. They probably thought that once they moved in together as husband and wife somehow the red flags would resolve themselves. Only anyone with intelligence knows that rarely ever is the case.
