1. The dynamics of a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship are quite different from that of a husband-wife relationship particularly were Nigerians are concerned. So what they both were able to accept as their lot during the courting they clearly found hard to handle when marriage finally set it.

2. Not at all. It happens a lot more than people even realize.

3. I think they already saw it coming but decided to ignore the red flags, at least she sounds like she saw it but thought it would pass but it didn't.

I don't believe marriage has evolved. Rather, people have and this as they now realize it is worthless holding on to marriage when there is nothing left of it worth holding on to. What does it profit a woman or man to spend 50 years holding on to a marriage badge with no real marriage, just sadness and heart ache, attached to it?

The husband has issue, his issue is woman. What is there to judge when the woman already stated that. He settled for her because he’s a fuckboi and she spoiled him but he couldn’t handle the reality of dating below his standards. Probably they were not ready to have that kind of committed relationship and they just jumped into it because they had invested too much time in it and they were both not getting younger, it shouldn't come as a shock to her they would have been signs that she ignored
