There is absolutely no such rule.
Anything that is not on www.gov.uk is misinformation as that site is updated every second as a guide to the whole nation.
If you get denied for this reason ONLY I am happy to assist you in lodging complaints to the highest possible quarters. There are laws by which the UK operate. My worries are about how you came about the money in your account, your chances appear slim with that and you are a housewife saying you are going for a course for 3 weeks: of what benefit is this course? Goodluck
How does it really appear slim,I have real estate properties from inheritance and personal building, and my husband is settling the home bills, and I have proof of tenants from far back 20years ago.

Good day everyone...
Please I need answers to the following questions
1. As an Employed individual who intends to spend 2 weeks with Sister and her Family how much should I state especially if the trip will be sponsored by my Sister?
2. When going for biometrics are Originals and photocopies of documents needed? Will the docs be collected from me after scanning to be returned later or on the spot?
Thank you

dirolad:

If you are not reapplying so soon or intend to reapply. You can send A letter to them explaining why you deserve the visa if their concerns has been answered in your application.

You should send a pre-action protocol (PAP) letter to Home Office UKVI before filing an immigration Judicial Review (JR) in Court and ask the Home Office UKVI to reconsider its refusal decision within 14 days.

What Is A Pre-Action Protocol (PAP)
A pre-action protocol (PAP) letter is a letter written to the Home Office, UKVI in order to try and resolve a dispute concerning an immigration matter before Judicial Review (JR) proceedings are started against the Home Office UKVI. A Pre-Action Protocol (PAP) letter may also be called a ’letter before claim’ or a ’letter before action’. All of these terms refer to the same thing.

Purpose Of Pre-Action Protocol (PAP)
The purpose of pre-action protocol (PAP) letter is to identify the issues in dispute and establish whether litigation with the Home Office, UKVI can be avoided. The letter contains the date and details of the immigration decision (the refusal letter), act or omission of the Home Office UKVI being challenged and a clear summary of the facts on which the Judicial Review claim against the Home Office, UKVI is based. It also contains the details of any relevant information that the applicant is seeking from the Home Office, UKVI and an explanation of why this is considered relevant.

Response To Pre-Action Protocol (PAP)
Immigration Judicial Review (JR) proceedings against the UKVI are not normally issued until the proposed reply date given in the letter before claim has passed, unless the circumstances of the immigration case require more immediate action to be taken. Home Office UKVI, should normally respond to letter before action (pre-action protocol letter) within 14 days and Home Office UKVI may face cost implications for failure to respond to pre-action protocol (PAP) letter unless there are good reasons for not responding within that period.

An application for permission to apply for Judicial Review can be filed in the Upper Tribunal or Administrative Court (High Court), as the case may be, if the Home Office, UKVI do not respond to the pre-action protocol letter within 14 days or the Home Office UKVI responds within 14 days but maintains their decision to refuse the immigration application.

The protocol does not affect the time limit specified by CPR Part 54.5(1) namely that an application for permission to apply for Judicial Review (JR) must be made promptly and in any event not later than 3 months after the grounds upon which the claim is based first arose.

Mail to send the letter to:

UKVIPAP@homeoffice.gov.uk

Hi Guys,

So I just got an email that my passport is ready for collection.

Does this mean it’s a positive news?

😟

seunshrek:
Maybe there’s a backlog…
I did my biometric since 15th of September and I haven’t gotten feedback yet.
And yes, it was a priority visa application.
Fingers crossed as we wait for the people in Croydon o.

Btw, I know people that did within the same timeframe and they’ve gotten feedback

My question is to those who have passed through the experience or have good knowledge of the UK immigration rule

I'll be clocking one year in the UK under the skilled worker visa this month. The problem is my sponsor have not been Providing work to about 90% of people under their sponsorship, infact I've never received a penny of pay from them. This situation I think made the home office investigate and I know they are under suspension or administrative review but the certificate of sponsorship has not been withdrawn that's why we've not been given the 60 days rule. My personal problem now is that I want to bring in family and don't know if the officer will dig into my info and refuse the application making me loose thousands of pounds for the 4 dependant or if I'm still entitled to bring my dependant as my visa is still intact. Please don't be offended house but kindly indicate if your response is based on experience or knowledge of how the immigration rules work. Thank you in advance to those who will find time to respond to a brother in need
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by dduchess90(f): 5:34am On Oct 10, 2023
Hello

If the HO is investigating your employer I will strongly advise not to apply for your dependants now.

You should start looking at applying (not buying) for other sponsored jobs to switch your COS.Save yourself and be settled first before bringing in dependants.

I know you mentioned you haven’t gotten any 60days notice yet but it’s best to assume a worst case scenario.

If you haven’t gotten any job by now it is clear there will be enough evidence to suspend or revoke your sponsors license.

Cheers

Good evening guys. How’s everyone doing?
Please I have some questions about the visa application process and I’d love answers, please 🙏🏽
I know some of these questions would have been answered on this thread, believe me I’ve checked as far back as when but it’s a lot, sorry 😞
1. My office recently introduced a welfare package which they pay on the same day our salaries drop, should I add it to my monthly salary in the application? Also, do I convert my salary to Gbp in the application or just leave it?
2. It’s just 7 days I plan on spending, how much do you think i should put as proposed trip expense - flight inclusive
3. There’s a place for other sources of income but seeing as I just have salary, can I leave the place blank?
4. In my personal statement, can I put my sister’s contact or mine is ok? I put my sister cos I stay with her and I already have my own contact on the application anyway
5. Main purpose of visit- I put visiting friends and visit some places - I listed out the places. Is that ok?
6. Once I’m done with the application can I just go ahead and pay? After payment please what are the next steps? Also, I stay in Abuja so I selected abuja for my biometrics, is that ok or do I put Lagos?

Thank you 🙏🏽

Thank you very much!
I got the visa today.

I opted to go November but the ‘valid from’ date was December 2023.

I’ll take that still 😊

This should be fine especially if all other aspects of your application is convincing enough to the ECO.

Hello!

I sincerely need other people's insight regarding this UK Visa.

Firstly, I've been to Morocco, South Africa, Lebanon, Qatar, and Ghana.

Secondly, I've been denied USA and Spain (Schengen) Visa.

Thirdly, I've been a freelancer since 2019 working with different clients on long and short projects. My earnings were not accounted for. They were earned in USD, however, I use different means and sources to exchange for Naira.

Since July, I registered as a Company with CAC and I've been paying myself 2.5M naira consecutively. Looking at my bank statement, I've been spending around 800k monthly.

I intend to apply for a UK standard visa soon, waiting for 6 Months so I can have proof of employment for the past 6 months (I don't know if this is a must). I can get recommendations from some of my clients to serve as supporting documents. I also have a landed document in my name.

The only credits in my bank account have been my salary, and I spend from the account for my day-to-day spending.

This is my situation. I just want to hear from other people's perspectives if there's anything I really need to know or worry about.

Thank you.

Good evening.

I want to ask if the digital copy of the bank statement downloaded from my bank mobile app is sufficient for my visit visa application. This downloaded statement has a stamp on every page.

Or do I need to walk into the bank to get it printed out, signed, stamped?

1. My office recently introduced a welfare package which they pay on the same day our salaries drop, should I add it to my monthly salary in the application? Yes Also, do I convert my salary to Gbp in the application or just leave it? It's not cast in stone. I usually convert all figures in Naira to Pounds
2. It’s just 7 days I plan on spending, how much do you think i should put as proposed trip expense - flight inclusive. Between 1,500 and 2,500 as tickets are very expensive now
3. There’s a place for other sources of income but seeing as I just have salary, can I leave the place blank? Depends on you. I usually put interest acrued on savings
4. In my personal statement, can I put my sister’s contact or mine is ok? I put my sister cos I stay with her and I already have my own contact on the application anyway. Yours.
5. Main purpose of visit- I put visiting friends and visit some places - I listed out the places. Is that ok? Tourism
6. Once I’m done with the application can I just go ahead and pay? After payment please what are the next steps? Also, I stay in Abuja so I selected abuja for my biometrics, is that ok or do I put Lagos? Pay and get date for biometrics. Then upload your documents. Go for your biometrics and wait for your visa to be approved. Don't buy a ticket till you get your visa. Abuja is fine.

Thank you 🙏🏽

Good evening guys.
This thread is really informative, thank you all for all the information you provide daily.
Please I have a question, I’m applying for a uk visa…there’s a part that is for ‘other sources of income’. I don’t have any other source of income, just my salary. Can I just put No instead of putting yes and having to lie about another source of income that I don’t have? Thank you.
