Who are the ministers from old Eastern region in this government that have done anything meaningful so far? While I don't doubt the capacity of Umahi to perform, but what has he done so far to make this sweeping generalisation? The only minister that has shown promise in this government is the Interior one, and he's from Ondo state.

That was how Tinubu didn't refund Rivers state for rehabilitating Federal roads , now this one too.

Hope it wouldn't later discourage other State governments from spending money on repairing Fed Govt roads in the interim to make life easier for road users .

I know Kogi and Edo state gominas will use this as a valid excuse to continue abandoning Federal roads that pass their states

umahi is actually trying, but he is also following the directives of the federal government who employed him, because it's not fair for him to approve tolling on the road, it more like adding more burden on the citizens that ply the road.
why not the federal government refund what ever funds spend for the construction and order the Ogun state government to stop any form of tolling on the road ?
by giving them the right to collect toll gate fees on the road, the tolling will be forever without ending, and Ogun state citizens will carry that unnecessary burden for eternity.

Why tolling, when pay a people are paying cit, vat and paye taxes.

That road is a federal road so the State needs to recoup its money which will be spent on other services to benefit the local tax payers.

Also note that VAT and personal income taxes are collected by the FG.

My brother, thank you, you know when I criticised Dapo, people will think I'm enemy of progress, then I look around to see that the progress they are talking about is retrogressing, Dapo abiodun is a monumental failure in all aspect.. My 2years old daughter can do better than him...

I'm from Lagos state, and I live in Abeokuta, since my wife doesn't like Lagos, and she's from oyo state, so I decided to stay in Abk, since it's in the middle of both Lagos and Oyo...

That man dapo, doesn't know what continuity means, if Lagos has neglected the act of continuity, they wouldn't be where they are today...
