A student can start working full time after the course completion date and not after graduation. Your school immediately notifies the Home Office once you completed your course, which gives you the liberty to work full time.

Hello everyone, please can a student work full time after the course completion date or it has to be after graduation date

Yes you can live anywhere in the UK away from your school if you are comfortable with that arrangement.

Hello guys, I need advice please. I just started my PhD at the University of Leicester, however I don't really like the city of Leicester, I want to live in Derby, please is it advisable to commute from one city to another for school? Also in terms of Jobs and raising kids which city is better between the 2, the distance between Derby and Leicester is about 54 minutes away by road. Thanks

Why are you pushing this sef? It all has the potentials of landing both the facilitator and investor in the AML murky waters ....don't be a money mule!!

Ancestors,

Someone in Nigeria is trying to buy property in UK. They’re willing to pay the >25% deposit for a mortgage. Target is to preserve capital, gain equity, get good ROI from a rentals etc. Strategic location to ensure long term value. House or flat. What’s the best approach? Any advise. Thank you in advance.

I don’t get. Can’t people with legitimate means of livelihood (e.g working in oil & gas) buy property abroad. I know people who have bought properties in SA, Dubai, USA but to name a few. So because of AML murky waters someone that has income/network in Naira can’t diversify their portfolio. Let’s be open-minded please. If you don’t have the answer, no problem. I’m seeking experience people that have gone through the route legitimately. In fact, all I’m asking for is choice location or strategy for the property market in this country. Thanks and God bless

This is the plan only that I intend to do it with one woman.

if a woman suffered with you, look after your kids, look after the home, support you in anyway she can and unfortunately the marriage breaks down then i don't see anything wrong in giving her 50% of your wealth

Lol how is it automatically a money mule situation that someone abroad wants to buy property in the UK?

it's not that unusual. Specialist lenders offer this, although it's usually at the level of HNIs financing high-end properties.

Obviously the lender will run stricter AML/CFT checks but if the money is clean fundamentally the mortgage is still a low risk transaction for the lender given the house is the security.

Yes, they should be able to sponsor because both (occupational therapists and physiotherapist are both on health care shortage occupation list), but I got an info from a friend that some now require you to work say like 3 months first. And note sponsorship will likely to towards the end of your current visa.

I can relate to your apprehension about the stress and expenses of traveling, but I do believe that going for interview is also an experience on its own.

Wish you success in your upcoming interview.
Hi boss..Thanks for your words of encouragement..I went for the interview, did very well, was selected and I ve gotten my cos.

I called this builder to reserve a property, told them I have a DiP, they said okay but asked that I call their mortgage advisor, that their mortgage advisor needs to see my DiP before they can go ahead with the reservation.

After speaking with their mortgage advisor, they didn't ask for my DiP, they carried their own assessment and are giving me the same lender as the former advisor.

I want to go with the former advisor, should I insist or play along?
What is DiP?

Thanks. Ultimately the decision is yours. If you are a first time buyer, it may be easier to go with the builder's preferred brooker. If you prefer 1st broker, please use them. I doubt there will be any penalty. The sales rep may probably get a cut of the fees hence their recommendation.

But who defines "suffer", "looking after the home" and "support"? Aren't these relative?

Any tips on where to buy? Or go with flats or house? So many developers in Manchester doing luxury flats etc. or looking for a small house somewhere (freehold). Thanks

50/50 of all their assets or only his ?

His assets if he is the higher earner and madam is a home maker, looking after the kids etc, your investments, salary earned or money made through business while married will be regarded as family assets and as such will be on the table to be shared with madam and kids if marriage ends.

Now the question is while the husband works full time, is that not supporting the wife too to ensure family doesn't lack financially? You see support and looking after the home is relative.

This is fairness...... isn't it ......😂

Marriage is a business partnership, of two people coming together, to build & strengthen their values .....

One person sees a snake, the other kills it...... It's not about contributors value, but collectiveness......😂😜

Marriage is about compromise and sacrifice, in-between both, you must find and define an agreeable balance .........😜

I experienced this also. I spoke with the developer's broker as recommended, they did their financial assessment (affordability checks) and passed it on to the developer but I told them during the conversation that I already have my broker. Made it clear to the sales advisor as well during reservation that I've got my broker. I went for the developer's solicitor though (so maybe a win-win), as the solicitors recommended by my broker were either slow in responding to my initial mail or just too expensive. All going good so far and the solicitor has been great.

You will only value the work madam does in the house and the kids when you hire a nanny or house help to do that job.

You will still support the house financially and pay the nanny and your kids and house will be in the hands of a complete stranger.

You can not put a price tag or value to the work a good supporting wife does. Peace of mind alone is priceless.

My wife works part time because of the kids while i work full time, she does the school run, shopping, cook etc. I don't have the same insistent she has with the kids. I do look after the kids after work or on my off days and i know i struggle sometimes, so i have deeper appreciation.

I will be more than happy to share 50/50 with her
