Hi guys

Please what's the process of obtaining a Tier 2 worker Visa as a teacher from Nigeria? A friend with extensive years of experience as a teacher in Nigeria is considering the option. Please how does he start the process?

I did some research and found that one must have a job offer first. Please has anyone successfully gotten an offer from Naija as a teacher? Will appreciate any information I can get on this. Thanks

You need both the special delivery envelope and the postal order. Envelope is for the return of your passport and the postal order is admin fee for passport processing.

The postal order should be addressed to the Nigerian High Commission London. You can buy both at the same time and this is what the envelope looks like.

Hello house .
I got a New BRP due to me switching Employer, so I was told to return my old BRP
My question is, will I buy postal stamp for the delivery or I will just cut it and put in an envelope to drop off in a postal box near me ?

Thank you

Hi everyone! Been a while that I've popped in here. Good to see the OG's still here doing the Lord's work wink

I have a question about in-country visa application... does anyone who used the ID check app when applying know if dependents can also use the app for their application? Chose the option trying to complete dependants application, but it keeps saying service not available. I was hoping not to need to submit dependant's application at a VAC cry

Yes. It works for dependents too.

How it selects people it works for isn’t published. I believe I’ve heard that it doesn’t even work automatically for all main applicants. Ultimately, if it says service not available, you need to go to VAC.

No way around it.

Yeah, it’s possible if applying to jobs that can sponsor.

To me the easiest would probably be applying to jobs on the Civil service website(target EO, HEO, SEO roles) which hopefully they should be able to sponsor or NHS. But the former is more fair and transparent in their recruitment process based on my own opinion anyway and experience.

A close friend would probably be switching soon, Would let you know.

Just make sure you remove information like location from your cv.

Say for instance

You once worked as a Customer service representative in Zenith Bank in Lagos

You don’t need to put Zenith Bank, lagos, Nigeria.

Just remove those location.

Customer Service Representative- Zenith Bank.

Don’t put location., etc.

Same with your Uk jobs, you don’t need to put location as well.

Make sure you include that your care experience in your cv, it doesn’t matter.

Wish you good luck

But both the civil service practice skill test and situational test can be frustrating. Somehow difficult to pass, SAD. Any guide, please?

You need to pay for your post. If you don’t, the letter will be held back and the Home Office will be asked to pay the postage fee and also a surcharge in order to collect it. I don’t know what will happen then but I don’t think it’s worth trying to find out.

I’d advise you you go into a post office and they’ll let you know how much it costs. You can also find out how much the fee is and affix the appropriate postage stamps.

Applied to like 2 jobs and I haven't heard from them

Applied like 1 week ago though and I plan to get more

Thank you! I tried it again just now and it has gone through. I think the service was down or busy the previous times I was trying. So glad I don't need to go to a VAC and spend money and waste time on top!!

What do i call it?

Hi bro, sorry I couldn't reply earlier but I see peerielass got you sorted.

The postal order is to be addressed to the Nigerian high commission while the special delivery envelope is to be addressed to yourself as it's for the return of your passport.

ALL 4 BRPs I have ever used in the UK are still in an envelope, under my box.
I am keeping them as a sort of Time capsule in my museum /archive for my future generation.
I am keeping it safe. It’s not in wrong hands.
I’m good to go.

Hi.

A quick question. Did you buy on the Meaco webpage or from some retailer. There are 2 different websites and that money plenty pass wetin scammer go comot for my body. So which did you buy from?

Thanks.

Schoolhike:

Same as me, I wish I had purchased this product a year earlier, especially given its energy efficiency.

Since buying it, my kitchen's smoke alarm, which used to be triggered when I cooked, hasn't gone off once due to the air being purified by the machine, did not even need to open the windows. A storage area in my apartment that had an unpleasant odor is now odor-free.

The mold situation in my house was so severe that it turned the ceiling black. Relying on sprays wasn't effective, and using them even made us all ill including the baby due to the chlorine content, causing symptoms including catarrh.

I believe the inclusion of air purifiers in the device contributes to its higher price, but it's worth it. Gone are the unpleasant smells in the house, and even my towels smell fresh after it dried up.

The way people use ILR to scare people is something else.

The recommendation for BRP is to cut it into pieces, then return to a P.O Box address.

Not freepost, not a mention of tracked or special delivery. Nothing.

So do we think that someone in Bristol is assigned the responsibility of opening the envelope, putting back the cut pieces like a jigsaw puzzle to read the name and number. Then logging on the system that Jane Doe has returned her old useless BRP.

Are they that jobless?

Seconded!!!
The scare tactics on this thread is too much!!! I have said this before.
Nobody cares. Pls they should us who has been denied ILR and the reason expressly stated on the refusal decision was that they did not return an old BRP so they are therefore not eligible for settlement status. What home office law is this?

But why would I want to keep an old expired or invalid BRP? Of what use would it be for me keeping it? Postage cost is low sef, this one that HO are using every excuse to deny people stay, it's best one avoid anything that may be a negative factor. I understand the logic that they might not check to confirm the return buh we nor know de juju de tie inside the BRP na wey fit identify who return or no return 🤣🤣🤣

The recommendation is to cut and return.

Simple as ABC.

This has nothing to do with scaring people with ILR, it’s also none of my business if someone’s job is to note down those that has returned their BRP.

Someone said cut and dispose, someone said keep it under the bed.

Nothing wey musa no go see for gate ooo
