Something is wrong with the constitution.

I still don't understand why one state was split into 5 and the constitution recognises them as states.

That constitution is very wrong for recognising those 5 unproductive villages as states. They should all be combined to form a single state. angry

Name a state that was split into 5?

Nothing is wrong with the constitution. The people are the problems.

When patriotic, sincere and accountable leader are in governance, any constitution or rule will work.

Even if you have the best constitution with bad leaders, it will result to woes.

Nothing is wrong with the 1999 constitution on which endless amendment has been initiated by the national assembly since 1999.

Does he know how much had been apen by the NASS?

Two sitting presidents organized national conferences to review the constitution in 2005 and 2014, yet nothing was and is wrong with the constitution.

Chief Kanu Agabi was Justice Minister and AGF under OBJ, and could still make this statement is quite unfortunate.

Nobody knows everything, but THINK WELL before you second -guess a former Federal Attorney General.
Agabi happens to be brilliant man.
Ekweremadu wasted a lot of money and time on bogus reforms that amounted to nothing.
Houses of assembly have no spine- in spite of the constitution.
Deputy Governors/ Ministers of State are regarded as " spare tires"- in spite of the constitution.
Local governments are treated as extensions of parastatals - in spite of the constitution.
So for those who misunderstood Kanu Agabi, go back and read afresh.

NORTHERNERS SHOULD NOT BE AFRAID OF RESTRUCTURING.

They wrongly feel they will loose so much if they are told to be self reliant without the need for crude oil money.

Stipends called federal allocation is what that is setting many of the states in northern Nigeria backward.

Nigeria should go back to the 1960 or 1963 constitution.

Regional government were very productive then compared to now when States in Nigeria settled for stipends.

The Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo developed the western region with money generated from cocoa export.

Any none oil producing states still surviving on federal government allocation is deceiving itself.

NIGERIA MUST INVEST IN AGRICULTURE.

We should stop deceiving ourselves.

Ukraine, Botswana, Kenya, Zimbabwe, etc are making a lot of money in Agricultural food products export.

Goan sit down abeg.. Why are you trying to change the narrative. Northerners had nothing to do with restructuring

Nnamdi Azikiwe and Ben Nwabueze were the first people who fought against restructuring at the time it was supposed to be discussed. Aguyi Ironsi (with the help of his Igbo brothers) was the one that brought decree 34 that finally nailed any form of restructuring.

The bolded is naturally illogical because people with such characters are more or less saints and with saints you don't even need a constitution or any laws. Remember that laws are made for the lawless and those who refuse to be guided by their consciences. The existence of laws and constitutions means that people are naturally lawless hence the kind of people you describe above don't really exist.

What do you expect from a brother of Aguiyi Ironsi who destroyed our working Independence constitution in the name of seeking national unity which was actually not lacking at that point in time?

You Got The Drift Abbegg..!!

Upright Persons Don't Need Any Laws..

In a place where there are many upright Persons,, there is no need for any laws, because they would just look at situations, and know the very right things to do.
