Enforcing clean environment is the function of a constituted authority and has nothing to do with who owns a city or not. Alaba Rago is populated by mostly Hausa people though people from other regions sales there equally.

Profiling Igbos for what was collectively done by both people from south west is bad. Some of the folks that are mentioning Igbos may not even know where the market is located in Lagos and may have not visited Lagos before. If Igbos parked out of lagos, most of you profiling them unnecessary will run away. Let's not forget in a hurry how lagos looked like in 1993 during Abiola's saga when Igbos left Lagos in their numbers. Tribalism will destroy Nigeria one day.

Or when electronic companies started manufacturing products, they licensed importation to Igbos alone.

Alabarago should have been the first market to be closed before any other market in Lagos State. It is the most filthy and smelly market in Lagos if not Nigeria. It has always been an environmental disaster with cowshit and smelly gutter lying next to foodstuffs.
That Ladipo, Alaba and trade fair could be closed before Alabarago is the mystery of the century. It was after questions by reasonable Lagosians that the government eventually shut down Alabarago market. Even after this so called clean up, it will still be far dirtier than alaba international before the shut down.

I will not say lagos state government is particularly targeting igbos, I believe all these market closures were motivated by revenue drive. And igbo dominated markets are the richest.
It seems Sanwo Olu wants to use this second term to cash out.
Imagine charging each market between 40 to 70 million before they can be reopened.

What you see at Alaba Rago is the absence of basic infrastructure from Lagos State Govt.

No drainage, no motorable roads, no pipe borne water, etc, yet you lock up 1000 gates, exits & entrances.

All this Lagos Propaganda should STOP!

For the cheap insults, my finding revealed the following:
You are a fake female. You no be girl. You v personal identity disorder that made you open female account and you now post like a girl. Also, your PID illness was so severe that you forgot females don't argue like chihuahuas in politics section, it's the male gene in you that pushes you to comment on topics that's of interest to you cos you are a boy with prîck and not a girl with totó.

Another point is you no get brain. That's why anything Igbo or Biafra dey pepper ya body.

Solution:
Come out as male.
Be objective about Igbo matters
Read history well. It ll keep you informed about origin of matters and this ll shape your sense of judgement!

IGBOS should learn how to conduct themselves in a civil way.
Alaba rago as everyone know is populated by Northerners....after the closure they went to work.
But when Markets with large igbo population is closed for same reason we start seeing all sorts of LIES that the market was closed because of igbos. Always playing victim. Thats why nobody takes them serious again
Thats not really what happened.

Fuel is not an issue man!
None of the top contenders was going to support subsidy so try and use something else other than a fuel price hike.

Our problem is that we always attach sentiment to everything. Many believe that closure of markets all-over Lagos is meant to punish some some number of persons.Rather it was done for own seek in the long-run.
The earlier we learn to think out of sentiment the better our society will be.

The closure of this Alaba Rago market is under reported, and indeed, there was no complain.

But when Trade fair was closed for same reason, there is no news media it wasn't reported. A very lengthy letter was written copying many world leaders and organisations such as
UN
ECOWAS
AU
WHO
UNICEF
Putin
Trump
Biden
Netanyahu
etc.

The message of the letter borders on Tinubu using Sanwo-Olu to witch hunt a particular tribe. The tribe claimed to be the most successful world wide, hence the jealousy and hate.

The govt. has alot of work to do on sanitising our markets
Re: Traders At Alaba Rago Market Cleaning Up After Closure (Pictures) by anungangampu: 6:49am On Oct 28, 2023
They are seriously using the Market for PR purpose because
1. They cant close the market indefinitely like they closed Tradefair and Alaba not minding they gave no notice for cleanup before closure.

2. Secondly Alaba Rabago and Mile 12 are the dirtiest market in Lagos where majory of Hausa traders sell and for political reason, government cant close the market down for 1 to 2 weeks like they closed other markets waiting till they pay beore they open. The antecedent will affect them in future. They know this quite well.

3. No one will pay huge amount of money they are requesting other market to pay and futher closure might turn to protest and violence.

4. Tradefair have their own waste management. Alaba Rabago depends on Lasema . They just want tradefair to pay not minding they dont need them but Alaba-rabago that needs Lasema is ignored and use for pr.

5. There is a sinsiter motive by the government to show off power to big market in Lagos. It has nothing to do with waste management as if same option was given to other big market, they will even rebuild their fence and clear grass.

6. The question is, Can Lasema give us update about the difference between when the big market when closed and now?
