EagleScope01: Please AVOID Accra, ghana. If you use VFS Lagos/Abuja, they will likely send it to Accra for you. Consider asking those who sent it to Kenya here how they did it. The Accra Office take eternity to process/return passport. Save yourself the emotional stress, please! 1 Like |

Hello I'm single, a PNP nominee, and got ITA last Tuesday. I intend to add my spouse to my application after our court wedding this week. Seniors in the house hope there won't be issues. Secondly, is there a need for a change of name documentation in my application? |

kyle2009:There's no issue with adding your spouse after wedding. But of course, it may delay your processing a bit. Read this timeline here: https://www.nairaland.com/6829885/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/250#114893065 But don't make the mistake here: https://www.nairaland.com/6829885/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/196#113600014 And see here for an advice on the best time to add: https://www.nairaland.com/6829885/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/144#112105101 Who's changing names? 1 Like 1 Share |

America001: Nobody wan answer me 😭. I've been doing masters for 3 years now going to 4 e no dey end I haven't entered the pool as I wouldn't want to pay for WES evaluation twice and age is coming up by the year. Can I use my professional certification in CICRM to evaluate as 2 or more certificates so I can even make a headway at all all |

America001:WES only evaluate academic transcript. If you write exam to obtain your certificate, check on WES website to see if the institution (CICRM) is listed among the accepted institutions. Good luck! Modified: there are short courses you can do to add two or more certificate within a month or two, or weeks (depends on your time and how fast you study) Either ACCA Applied Knowledge level or CIMA certificate in business level is a short certification you can get to boost your CRS score. Need help on how to go about this plus full study material, reach out below 1 Like |

My sister got ITA in the recent healthcare draw and she’s ready to submit, all documents readily available as same was submitted for OINP just last month. Thankfully OINP was still in submitted status despite having submitted over a month ago so $1,500 no waste. Anyway, she has a cash job and got a salary certificate for OINP, her reference letter meets IRCC standards so I’m contemplating submitting that alone and not unnecessary complicating the application since IRCC doesn’t ask for proof of compensation. However, from reading this thread, it appears its not uncommon for IRCC to send ADR for proof of income. |

Greatnewsalways: Why did you update with the accounting job when you already received ITA? The thing is that you received the ITA in a healthcare specific draw so your application must reflect the same. After receiving ITA, I believe any additional points will not work in your favour or vice versa. I think you should have sought advice before updating so as to weigh the repercussions first. But please help us understand your situation by responding to my first question. That way, the gurus will be able to advise accordingly. |

AyabaS: I think the employer's reference letter mentions the compensation along with the working hours and responsibilities. Is it not so? If it is then that serves as proof of compensation. What did she use for proof of funds? 1 Like |

America001: You can open a WES account and try to input that certificate and see whether it is accepted. Also, it is possible to mention on your wes account that you will be evaluating another certificate i think but i am not sure, search the website thoroughly (FAQs should answer some of your questions too). If that is not possible, you can always evaluate your masters when it is ready, if it is within 6 months of your first evaluation you only pay an extra 100CAD. In my opinion you are better off entering the pool and later updating your profile than waiting outside the pool to have all your ducks in a row. Also bear in mind the age factor and the tie-breaker rule will not be in your favour as you continue to delay. There is a 67 point eligibility you have to meet for EE pool and your age plays a role in it. In short, if you are hesitating due to the cost of doing repetitive WES, that cost is nothing compared to ineligibility caused by a delay. Enter the pool ASAP my friend. 1 Like |

kyle2009: No need for change of name. In fact it is better to not change to avoid unnecessary ADRs in future. I think the marriage certificate will have your maiden name which matches your passport and WES and all other documents. Stay consistent. |

America001:I highly doubt this will count as 2 or more. Does it involve a transcript? Are there a series of exams culminating in the certificate or is it just one exam? First starting point is to establish if you can actually get a transcript, otherwise there's little chance it will count as 2 or more. In any case, I'm not WES. To be absolutely sure, send an email to them and ask them directly. They will reply you with the specifics. 1 Like |

My PR journey…. 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻 First, I’d like to thank God for making my relocation to Canada a possibility. I started this entire process in 2020 by verifying by degree with WES and writing IELTS. I created my first Express Entry profile in March 2021 but that profile expired after one year as there were hardly any draws and IRCC was concentrating on the applications that were on hold due to Covid-19. I created a new profile in June 2022, here’s PPR the timeline: ITA (Invitation To Apply) - 3rd Feb, 2022 AOR (Application received) - 19th March, 2023 Medical passed - 12th April, 2023 Biometric completed - 17th April, 2023 ADR1 (Additional Documents Request) - 1st June, 2023 Submitted - 6th June, 2023 ADR2 - 27th July, 2023 Submitted -28th July, 2023 Passport Request - 21st August, 2023 Passport submitted - 22nd August, 2023 Collected stamped passport and copr - 29th September, 2023 Landed Canada - 18th October, 2023 I’m not even going to lie, I love it here, the exposure, the diversity, the opportunities… everything. I was in downtown Toronto last week for 3 days and that City alone is motivating!!. I’m a Christian so I was always praying to God about this and thank God my prayers was answered 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻. This platform was really resourceful, when I came with all my questions, there was always someone willing to respond, especially Profgordons, Littyprincess and Gracious Words Thank you all so much. I’m grateful for my parents and siblings for their all round support. If relocating is your dream, don’t give up. With proper research, it’s possible for you to achieve this dream. I am rooting for you 31 Likes |

Michibz: I assume/hope you have not submitted your App yet. If your stay in Finland will be 6 months in a just few days, then it may be prudent to get a PCC for Finland........ would be my advice. For Oman, you were to have got the PCC AFTER the last time you were there (i.e. in Oman). At bold - Page 1 post 5 - there is a whole section there about Police Clearance Certificates. 1 Like |

GraciousWords: Thanks for your response. I have applied for my PCC and I’m yet to submit my app, the thing is there is no placeholder for me to upload PCC for Finland. I have only two place holder for PCC- Nigeria/Orman. If I get the PCC where exactly do you think I can upload. I have gone through several search here, nothing specific relating to my concerns. Thanks for your help. |

Michibz: Scan with either Oman or Nigeria PCC Or Scan with an LOE in the LOE placeholder explaining you are adding Finland PCC because you are few days shy of 6 months. Hope your Oman and Nigeria PCCs were got AFTER the last time you were in these countries.....e get why.... 1 Like |
