sterlingD:Na so e dey be sometimes..... Similar scenario played out in GT and ZENITH too........before GT later reclaimed its position.... Some of them are destined for leadership. We'll see what will happen in the case of UBA/ACCESS as well...... While elephant may continue to come from behind and overtake...... Na just my opinion o. In this market, one can never say never...... * Meanwhile, some of the Insurance stocks delivered very good results as well. 3 Likes |

dapix: Yes, Aiico did well too. Both Aiico and MB has bloated OS and it hinders their sharp rise.November bull will propel companies with good numbers and I believe this time around some insurance stocks will receive patronage from investors https://doclib.ngxgroup.com/Financial_NewsDocs/39776_AIICO_INSURANCE_PLC.-_QUARTER_3_-_FINANCIAL_STATEMENT_FOR_2023_FINANCIAL_STATEMENTS_OCTOBER_2023.pdf 1 Like |

Locotrader:Mutual Benefit seems to have the lowest PE ratio (2) in the insurance sector based on their current result. In comparison, It is better than AIICO on outstanding shares (OS) because AIICO has about 36 billion OS, while MB has just 20bn units 4 Likes |

kolaish: I am yet to study insurance stocks. I only know about stocks like Transcorp, Japaul, chams, caverton and the likes. This time around, the numbers I have seen in some insurance stocks will drive me to the sector at least for 20-50% profits. 1 Like |

FBNH When I saw the 20M single offer just placed @19.65, I already knew it was for crossing..... Picked in cross deals......

Lol. Another one was the 20M bulk crossing..... Full bid @19.65 now.... |

dapix:I share your thoughts. GTCO and Zenith are already saturated. The only unique thing about them now is that when there is a global phenomenon or national development which creates an intense and prolonged bearish run, these two stocks usually recover very rapidly far above all the others once the bearish trend ends hence they are good for strategic pick for quick and assured capital appreciation under such circumstances. 2 Likes |

yMcy56: Yes Mer+y, but remember that the banks that have significant offshore presence i.e do banking also abroad, earn foreign income/interest and the conversion of such would boost the income profile. Moreover it would equally buoy the prospects of sustainability in these hard times. That’s my take. 1 Like |
