Of course I am sure. I have been dealing in Noiler since 2006. I bought that particular batch from Amo Hatchery (Awe, Oyo state) directly in 2016.

It's brown color. Scroll up, you will see the picture I took of the birds back then.

Ok, thank you.

I was just wondering the possibilities, because mine seem to lay every day.

There are 5 females, and I have been picking at least 4 eggs daily for sometime now.

The females lay eggs naturally after like 17-20 weeks. It doesn't mean they will hatch the eggs. It is only if you leave them to roam, and a rooster climbs them that they might have fertilized eggs and hatch those fertilized eggs (by sitting on the fertilized eggs for a couple of weeks.)

There are two males among them which usually mate them.

But they have been laying for over one month now (they started laying towards the end of August).

If they were to sit on it, I don't think they'll lay consistently like that for over a month, so far.

Another good option look for local fowl that is laying just add those ones you think is fertile(which the male is mating). It will definitely hatch I have tried it.

Great comment. But he definitely has to release them to roam and not lock them in a cage.

I have a question, bro. Did you change their feeds to layers' feeds before they started laying or just the normal feeds you had been giving them?

My local male is climbing my female noiler, will it fertilize the egg.

Yes but the female offsprings will never go broody and the male, though will grow faster than the average local, but won't grow as big as the noilers

Thank you. What if local male is crossing broiler.

That's happening here too.

The eggs for sure will be fertilized but you need to crack at least one or more to be sure they are not double yoked.
NB: mind you that neither of the broiler nor the noilers can go broody but in a rare occasion, the noilers do; you just have to look for a laying local hen and pass the eggs to it for the purpose of incubation.

If it's double yoke, won't it hatch cos broilers always start with double yoke.

This is actually not always the case. I have done research on chicken genetics especially crossing different breeds. It's innate for chicken to go broody but this trait has been bred out of some breeds for commercial purposes. Examples are ISA brown and leghorn. While ISA brown is regarded as an hybrid, leghorn is a pure breed. Even some leghorns have been said to go broody. These are the best egg layers around. In this case, Noiler is an hybrid, meaning if a male noiler mates with a female noiler they can't produce chicks with the same performance as them. The local chicken in this instance is regarded as very broody. So if the rooster is from the broody breed, the female offsprings from the cross would carry the broody strain.
I have seen female offsprings of a cross between what we call whîte cockerel in Nigeria (it's actually an ISA brown rooster) with female local chicken go broody. These shows that broody strain is always in them and can be triggered by a cross with any broody breed. For the best results, the rooster should be from the broody strain. The size of your rooster also influences the size of your chicks.

Not at all, it's a pure table egg which even if, per adventure, it happens that a broody hen sat over it or it was placed in an incubator, during the embryonic stage, the embryo dies at an early stage during formation
