Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by enque(f): 2:37pm On Dec 04, 2023 |
shizzy7: CPs are not an everyday investment like mmf. When it's available, the investment houses will advertise so U can subscribe and the duration for subscription is also short. Longest I've seen is 1 week. |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by shizzy7(f): 3:43pm On Dec 04, 2023 |
enque:Thanks, what investment house do you recommend so I can register with them. stanbic does not do this . |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by freeman67: 4:20pm On Dec 04, 2023 |
shizzy7: You will not see CP's that way. You will only be contacted if you indicate interest If you want to invest in CP's you just contact Greenwich Merchant Bank Limited (bolaji.adeoti@greenwhichbankgroup.com) is a good guy who can put you through, FBNQUEST Merchant Bank, Coronation Merchant Bank, United Capital, Afrinvest e.t.c. There are some I dint mention here. Just contact them and you be getting details when available. Some presently ongoing are: 1. MIXTA REAL ESTATE is handled by Coronation, United Capital, FBNQUEST and ARM etc. 2. SKLD is handled by Coronation and Afrinvest. 3. JOHNVENTS INDUSTRIES LIMITED is handled by handled by Greenwich, Coronation, Cordros, Unity Capital, AVA etc. 4. MERCURE INDUSTRIES PLC is handled by: Cordros, Greenwich, United Capital, FSDH and Cardinal Stone. Once you contact them, they will send you reports and ratings of which ever company's CP you decide to invest. Please, you are to do you own due diligence before investing.

shizzy7:CP is different from mmf and Treasury bills. Last stop rate for primary Market for TB was 16.7%. You can walk into any bank to drop bid. Although not sure any bid will take place this year again as this week's bud will be the last for the year. You can opt for secondary market though |

freeman67: These are all high risk CPs. Very high risk!!! 1 Like |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by freeman67: 9:00pm On Dec 04, 2023 |
Labadi69: Yes, it's risky. That's why investors need to do his/her due diligence and as necessary questions where need be. That said, there are know brands with very high ratings that would not want to default in their obligations because it will affect their brand image. It's okay to go for. Also, investment generally is a risk. That's why you get return on it. It's just to choose the one you can chest. 1 Like |

Labadi69: Can anybody just wake and issue CP? I think its vetted before allowed to float and I still guess there are certain parameters used to arrive at the value they sort. Mainly, the company must have assets it can liquidate to pay off if shit happens. When was the last time you heard CP failed? Let's stop creating fears, the risk is as basic as any other investment in the money world. The masters can enlighten further and correct me where applicable. Lets learn together. Thanks 3 Likes |
