Because they are also afraid of where they d end up in the end. So they go to pastors for so called deliverances some of them do not sleep at night because of how afraid they are. Some of them also go there to make other less privilegded people feel inferior.

It's all good for wealthy church goers to donate millions to their crooked pastor friends (to buy private Jets) but cannot pay taxes to the government so that government can pay teachers, road sweepers, doctors, nurses. So that government can build hospitals, homes for the homeless children roaming the streets, build schools, give free education for poor kids.
