But there is a government in town. If the government didn't talk that means it's part of the scam.

I want to hear from pitObi, yesufu and Oby first.

Even if you hear from 'pitObi' and others you mention, it still wouldn't be enough for your sad self! It's obvious you Tinubu miniotic dolts are desperately searching for any news from the south-east you can spin into a anti-Igbo/Obi narrative.....all aimed at trying to distract onlookers from the disastrous 6 months in Aso Rock of your emilokan mandate thief!

What has a gov't being in town got to do with the high-handedness of market leaders!? There's a gov't in town in Lagos, yet the place is overun with agberos and owomida touts! Can we now infer the gov't in town is part of the scam!?

Here we go again!
Do u know what 50,000 shops look like and the expanse of land it will take to occupy 50k shops?
Do you even know what 10k shops look like?
I always say Nigerians like throwing figures in the air without thought.
Even if you say there are 50,000 human traders in Ariaria I doubt. Then you are here talking of 10k,not to mention 50k shops.
Ariaria may have anywhere between 2k-3k shops at most and that's being generous.
For you to have a better understanding of how to arrive at a reasonable figure,do this:how many streets constitute Ariaria market or better put what's the total area of Ariaria market and using the smallest shop size, how many shops can fit into that area.
Stop throwing up arbitrary, exaggerated figures.

That Guy you quoted exaggerates for a Living. It was yesterday that he was saying that Nigeria was completely Debt Free in 2005.

Didn't you read where it was stated that the leadership of the market is responsible for the increment
Just see the way you quickly protected the governor because he is not APC. Would u have said same if it was sanwo Olu? The so called ariaria leadership, who are they working for? I keep saying it all political parties and Thier supporters are different side of the same coin.

Personally I don't see any issues with this if it's annually or monthly if they are sure they are making millions monthly. They should should the money to fix erosion and roads. My only issue has always been the holier than thou...A serious govt will enforce, collect taxes, manage the people and promote development like Lagos. You won't be loved by all but you will create a lasting legacy of public works and public service.

But the truth is that Otti have absolutely nothing to do with it

This is strictly a matter between the leadership of the market and shop owners

Why would a market leadership be collecting tax in ariaria market

Any where you see bottle next know corruption is breeding there strongly

What would it take to give every shop a bar code
They pay directly from the bar code link

Once tax pepole come thay just scan the bar code of every shop

A simple app can tell them who have paid and who haven't paid

All this are forms of corruption

Ariaria has more than 50,000 shops some estimate say 200,000 shops

Say we do 100,000 every shop should pay a minimum tax of 300k per year. .. That's over 30 billion from this market alone

the fool*shness bug is becoming alarming in the SE.

Instead of easing business, they like hinderance business. Instead of stationary post business, they have moving post business, thereby creating uncertainty. Just behaving like the other regions. Even worse, employing the kinds of tactics that the haters of SE, would be systematically employing when they have the chance. Sometimes, I worry about the ignorance of my tribe.

One of them here is even making a claim that there are 200,000 shops in that rusty, dusty, shitty environment but one begins to wonder if the whole of tiny Alaigbo is even big enough to contain or house a thousand shop, lol !

Everybody knows how to spin. If you spin, I spin. That's how it goes. Nobody has the monopoly of spinning.

Anambra is still bleeding from pitoobi misrule. Abia has been captured by thugs funded by Otti. If same levy is done in Lagos, Kaduna or Kano. The unfortunate beings will be everywhere shouting genocide and victimisation.

Oga,I have been to Ariaria.
That time too on the surface your figure would look possible, but when you take your time to look critically at it,you would realise it's highly exaggerated.
One line from one end to another has at most 50 shops.Maximum 50 lines from the beginning to end=250 shops.Inside the main cluster itself give or take 500-1000 shops.
To give u another practical idea:you can walk through the whole of Ariaria in 2hours.10k shops cannot make you achieve that.
That's by the side anyway.
Ariaria is one fun place to go to because that is one market that has everything you need in one demarcated zone, from electronics to shoes, bags, glasses, gift items etc.
It's like one huge shopping mall.
We even used to go there sometimes just for trips moving from one section to another.
Assuming all the Abia State governments had had foresight,by now Ariaria would have been one huge manufacturing, production and commercial hob for not only the entire Nigerian market, but export.
Aba itself is one fun place and it's only people that have not visited states outside of their abode that wouldn't know that Nigeria is one large fun enterprise with places to visit and do whatever business or you are into.
Honestly, staying in places like Lagos and Abuja deprives one of the wonderland that is Nigeria, but being ruined by politicians.
From your assumption 50lines *50shops = 2500😂. But 50k shop omo that a environmental disaster. Nigeria actually over estimate. Once argued with a friend, he claimed pdp brought 30k forces to ekiti and I told him Nigeria can mobilise to that extent for an election. How many roads sef leads to ekiti to transport such quantities. Like your simple clarification.

Ignoramus! At your age, you don't know that Lagos is the smallest state. You need to go back to primary school if you love yourself.

Lol ! When we say Lagos,Yoruba,South West and Tinubu live rent free in your oblong heads, it's not intended to be an insult; it's a fact ! I'm not surprised though;it's your paranoid obsession with anything Lagos and Yoruba that's acting up again as I can't fathom any reason why you have to involve Lagos in this ! Your miserable life is never complete without mentioning "Ragos" (Lagos in cringey igbotic accent),Tinubu and Yoruba in a day ! I'm very sure that you will mention Tinubu and Yoruba in your next lame response, shior !

Now,do you honestly think it is a joke when we say the whole of Igbo land is just one tiny, little village ? No,it isn't;it is a fact that's backed up with verifiable facts ! The entire landmass of South East is nothing but just a DOT in a circle ! Now,let's compare Oyo State's landmass alone with Anambra,Imo,Abia, Ebonyi and Enugu combined :

* Anambra = 4,844 square kilometers
*Imo. = 5,530 square kilometers
*Abia = 6,320 square kilometers
*Enugu = 7,161 square kilometers
*Ebonyi. = 5,670 square kilometers

Total = 29,525 square kilometers

*OYO STATE = 28,484 square kilometers, that is just about the size of your entire 5 States ! Oyo state alone is bigger than Anambra + Imo + Abia + Enugu ! Kogi state ( 29,833 square kilometers) is bigger than your entire land ! You can now see why Ex President Buhari called your land a "DOT in a circle" ! "Lagos is the smallest State",mumu, what does that have to do with the fact that Igbo land is just a DOT ?

Village dwelling monkey from Alaigbo, you can now crawl back into whatever primitive hole you came from and remain dumber than you're already there, slowpoke!
