daveP: Oga you better get used to it. They don't sack civil servants in this country. It's sad but it's the truth. Only with visionary leadership can this change. A visionary leader will just redeploy her and get competent people there. 1 Like |

daveP: It was the African version of Brandi Chastain. I remember how the American press milked that moment like it was yesterday I don't think they would have formed the league in 99 if not for that moment. What made Oshoala's moment even better was the fact it was the match winner against a heavily favoured host. Once the ref blew the final whistle they might as well have handed her the trophy 5 Likes |

yinkeys: Without the NFF doing the right thing it won't happen. We have an haphazard way of doing things while at the same time expecting results. If the NFF doesn't want Waldrum to continue z they should appoint a new coach. We shouldn't resort to fire brigade approach when it backfires. 2 Likes |

do4luv14:She never gave that directly. I'm just inferring. It was unusual and sudden. Didn't make sense till now. But it's her choice. So, yeah-both are valid(reason/suspect) |

Yeah she did. She was carrying an injury and played through a pain threshold through last season. She played way too many games and she needed to rest her body. She therefore asked to be excused from some of the qualifiers. She has already proven what she brings to the table and she was granted that reprieve. Nothing nefarious and no need to fly kites and casting unnecessary rumors. She will be back soon. daveP: |

Deltamani:Lol, on a side note though, l love the engagement from those guys and the passion they have for their team because I follow their comments sometimes on Facebook. Anything that has to do with their female national team, has at least over 100 comments. This has always been the case even if you go back 6 years ago and I am happy their team has grown so much to become one of the top 4 teams in Africa at the moment. |
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by daveP(m): 9:57am On Dec 13, 2023 |
Deltamani: I like that comment that aligned with what i said pages back. Let these female players strive to enter big clubs too. Let them be where the loud ovation is. I agree they should give Oshoala Lifetime Achievement award too π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£ I want to see Banda, Kunda, or Tigernut, win it one day for non-nigerians sha. But i am waiting so passionately for another Falcon to just zap into the mix and take over abeg. Abi make we wait for another zee-like revelation from u20? |
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Deltamani: 11:25am On Dec 13, 2023 |
daveP: As for that ZEE Like revelation? Hmmmπ§ Who are those on the mix? Is it Ajakaye? Big9 Akekoromowei? I canβt sayβ¦ But we surely have them now that can steal the show in few years times.. β’β’β’ Rasheedat Ajibade β’β’β’ Onyi Echegini Then maybe the likes of Esther Okoronkwo, Uchenna Kanu, Rinsola Babajide and some others have the talents to steal the show if they do the on and off stuffs. Then also get to the spotlight with their Clubside.. 1 Like |
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by daveP(m): 2:21pm On Dec 13, 2023 |
Deltamani: Ajakaye, Sebastine, Idoko, Esther, maybe. But those 2 seniors should get it in next 3yrs. Currently doing all it takes. |
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Deltamani: 3:06pm On Dec 13, 2023 |
daveP: Yeah Yeahβ¦. Ajibade is definitely on the rise.. Onyi Echegini with her exploit in the US College Soccer, Big European Clubside should be on the door knocking right now as sheβs arguably among the top3 Best Players in the NCAA Division.. One Advantage she has again is her ability to Score goals as a Midfielder which sets her ahead of her mates.! Iβm not really a Fan of Juventus Women though but if that rumour turns out to be true itβs a big move then, But AS Roma is currently no.1 in Italy while Juventus have fallen down to no.2

Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Deltamani: 3:08pm On Dec 13, 2023 |
daveP: Esther Ajakaye still has a chance though as she has one of the biggest assets of the modern game which is the SPEED. If she can work on the other aspect of the game then sheβs good to go.. 1 Like |
