I prefer the US. They pay way better than the UK with less taxation. UK uses tax in growing her economy. More reason why tax rate is pretty high compared to the US.
Plus majority of the US companies pay based on hourly rates. Meaning you're paid based on your time worked. If you put in the extra effort and work 16 hours, you're paid based on that unlike the UK where the rate most times is fixed per month. Not many UK companies pay hourly.

You are a capital fool. Does that link tell you the Brit’s are presently using the imperial system?
This the more reasons other Nigerians see you people as imps. It runs in your blood.
Now you have changed to Brits no longer use Imperial System. Imbecility dwells in your abode.

you dont know what you are talking about its obvious you are talking on based on information that you cant interpret. IN UK we get paid per hour, but when advertising for permanent vacant they usually put per year salary, that doesnt mean you are paid per month

Why didn’t you finish with a good CGPA? You guys will finish with weak CGPAs and then start asking these kind of obvious questions.

You ask yourself - Do you stand a chance competing with others with better CGPAs?

You can always attempt. Put in a good SOP explaining why your CGPA was weak, and also demonstrate that you have what it takes to embark on a research study. You can use past examples. Your chances are extremely low but not inexistent.

Alaska? Biggest state in the US?

You should be comparing UK to Oregon

Alaska is even bigger than Nigeria.

I am only telling you the truth: the truth is that some people will not trade Naija for anywhere in the world because they are making it big here in Naija.

Someone like Dangote is not going to trade Naija for anywhere in the world, and the truth is that the guy might not be as successful as this if he had relocated to the US or UK during his youth days. Just saying, I don't know.

I understand there are limited opportunities here in Naija, but some people will still make it big and become super rich.

I don't believe the solution to Nigeria problems lie in Japa. We should stay in our country find out what we can do to excel in the world. If every one leave their country because exchange rate is high then how will the country recover. We should stay and build our economy. So many countries of the world are going through the same problem e.g Argentina. They don't because of that begin to migrate. Nigeria is a blessed country with plent of talents and resources.

Many people are mouthing off that UK tax is higher. They don't understand that the tax is used to provide services like the NHS. When they get hit by a medical bill in the US, they will understand what "high tax" means.

Imperial as the name implies is British.

You are correct, the imperial system is older while the metric system is newer. But the US prefers to use the older imperial system while other countries like the UK, Nigeria, Canada etc use the relatively newer metric system.
