Kingdemu:Dear Demu, Kindly be informed that there are government agencies that have institutionalized corruption, it worthy to note that there are companies in Nigeria that do not pay any taxes. I have worked in the media and I know how this things work. |

orohbirodeysmel: There are a lot of threads on Nairaland where people drop reviews of where they work/worked. They drop how much the companies pay their staff. Before you go for an interview, don't you google about the company? Please, just get off my mention! |

I just checked out the reviews. It's indeed a terrible hotel. Definitely a poorly managed hotel. That German manager and the Nigerian counterpart are doing a bad job.

Pussyisgud: In Lekki, some cleaners are being paid 35k The only good thing Is that they run shift. So you can get two shift jobs . 2 Likes |
Re: Lagos Oriental Hotel, A Place Beyond Slavery by Pussyisgud: 11:17am On Jan 06 |
Ayrastarr: Exactly, office cleaning pays 35k for a Monday - Friday job, while hotel /lounge /bar hospitality cleaning can be doing shifts but the problem here is that they would not allow you to work double shifts and earn double salary in the same hotel, if you decide to be working double jobs at two a separate hotels (morning and night shifts) how are you gonna meet up with arriving on early for both jobs and also you will not be sleeping at night or day coz u will be at work and automatically no holidays or off days for you. In order words you will neglect yourself start looking like zombie to the extent that small time YOU WILL JUST DIE. 3 Likes 1 Share |

oldguyman: This mentality must stop. It is this kind of thinking that makes you a slave in your country. Why would you leave a job in your own country just because you are being treated like a slave The right thing to do is to report the company and call them out. This is what Nigerian youths are supposed to be carrying placard and protest for. Not mohbad’s death!!! 1 Like |
