MetalJigsaw:
Bros go find out the Aribo of Rangers that joined SE two years ago is different from the current one. Ask around bro.

He even used to be a sure starter for Eagles. He literally broke into our first eleven and snatching the number 10 Jersey. This is not the same Aribo bro (Although he seems to be gaining his lost form gradually)

If a player is in very good form for his club and league but somehow he is under performing (not conclusive , debatable your opinion) in the national team.

That is not a problem with the player but management, team strategy and team cohesion.

If Mbappe, Ronaldo, Kane , Lewondoski, etc ate not scoring goals in the national team you will look👀 first at management , team strategy, style, form, etc then
then the player last.

If VO is not scoring goals none of you here will say he is not in form , well the vast majority here will blame everyone else but him. That's favouritism, but it's a emotive and sentimental based.

But you say Aribo is out of form , you will say Ademola is not good , etc

my reason is that when the team is chasing a game ie like trying to equalize or win by breaking opposition’s defensive low block having him and iwobi in midfield will add more advantage to the team in terms of creativity

Aribo is more creative than Onyeka while the latter is more defensive minded with bigger engine to run up and down the pitch closing down opposition’s attack as well as bomb forward when required

Also aribo has eyes for goals and more dangerous when he ventures forward to the opposition’s box unlike Onyeka

Agreed without question

Nigeria is winning this game by 2, 3-4 goals. If Equatorial Guinea play ball, that's to say if dem play ball well, dem fit manage to score 1.
Just imagine; how can you surpass a defensive block of 4 staunch highly built tall players in the name of Bassey, Ajayi, Ekong or Osayi?
Couple with the pressures from fast attackers like Lookman, Eagle eye Iwobi or the Almighty himself?
With wetin dey ground and all the preparation for these guys, believe me dem no fit fall hand.
We should be worried what comes after the quarter-finals.

I agree that we don’t have a local coach whose CV is good enough to be the coach of the super eagles but Finidi won the league with Enyimba last season, tho it wasn’t the usual format

I disagree 😞

Finidi coached for several years at Real Betis probably has all his coaching badges and is more qualified.

Finally, not one question about his integrity. He is a gentleman, intelligent and is seeking for the best not his pockets.

Finidi is the best candidate by a mile.

It's confusing I swear. The founding fathers of these countries couldn't be bothered to come up with an original name. Copycats🙂

Senegal,Morocco,Ghana and Cameroon came to last WC with locals but here we keep on doubting someone like Finidi.

Super Eagles Current form:
Played:5, Won:1, Drew:3, Lost:1
All 5 teams below us in FIFA rankings

Friendly 13/10/23, Saudi Arabia 2 - 2 Nigeria
Friendly 16/10/23, Mozambique 2 - 3 Nigeria
WorldCup Qual 16/11/23, Nigeria 1 - 1 Lesotho
WorldCup Qual 19/11/23, Zimbabwe 1 - 1 Nigeria
Friendly 08/01/24, Nigeria 0 - 2 Guinea

I expect us to draw today against Equatorial Guinea.
Lose against Côte d'Ivoire, and draw again against Guinea-Bissau.

I'd be happy if they prove me wrong. But I am not overly optimistic.
When Emmanuel Amunike comes in after AFCON, maybe we can then smile a bit.
But all in all; still got 100% love for the Green-White-Green 🇳🇬 and our boys.

I just saw the report.. I wont be surprised if its true. For some funny reasons, Iwobi doesn't get the trust of the managers during international tournaments. 2019 AFCON is the only one I remember him being a guaranteed starter. 2018 world cup, rohr was still using him as a winger.. 2021 AFCON, Ndid and Aribo were favoured in Eguavon 4-4-2

In that case our defence and goal keeping department have to be up and doing.
A double 4 with one occasionally bursting forward and Iwobi located in front of them will do the job.
