Guys, I have a question please.
I understand the UK has prohibited students on student visa from changing their visa type to work visa.
But can dependants of people on student visa change their own visa if they get sponsorship?

I hope guys aspiring to come UK are aware of the new immigration rules that will take off in April.
It makes it very difficult to remain in UK even after your 2yrs post graduate visa as one will need a very high paying job to remain the UK which in reality is not achievable except for a lucky few.
The popular route to remain was the care sponsorship but its regulation is now very stringent and now with a care visa, u can't bring in dependants again once the policy is implemented in April, so the route is a no way for a family oriented individual.
So anyone that gets a care sponsorship after April won't have dependents. It's quite bad that for a student presently in the UK with his dependants, if he gets care visa sponsorship after April, the dependants won't be covered and would need to return back to Nigeria.
Please let's reason am well before we japa o.

I think u can. I understand nurses are now going through this route as it is increasingly becoming difficult for them to secure sponsorship from Nigeria.

You can't do in-country visiting visa conversion. You will need to go out and apply from outside the UK.

The policy is not retroactive. If you're already in the UK with your family, you're good. If I recall clearly the policy states that you can't allow dependents to travel with you to the UK.

New admission letter: 5th October
Paid part tuition for CAS to be released: 21st October

Had to do TB test for CAS to be released
TB test was done at Qlife: 22nd of November
POF had been in my account since the 2nd of November and was going to mature on the 30th November cuz the POF was required for CAS to be issued.

CAS was issued on the 31st December

Application at TLSContact VI and Standard Application

Visa Application: 6th January
Upload Documents: 8th January
Biometrics: 11th January
Passport Collection Mail: 16th January
BRP Mail: Came in Minutes before passport collection. Omoh my heart wan cut as I dey wait for TLS to collect passport.

Passport collected on the 17th January.

It's all about job search on the internet. Structure your CV to reflect previous experiences and apply as many as possible.
