‘85% Women Want To Leave Their Marriages, I Tried Thrice’ – Actress, Jaiye Kuti by Odewaleadesoye(m): 8:24pm On Jan 21

Nollywood actress, Jaiye Kuti has claimed that 85 percent of married women want to leave their marriages.

Speaking in an interview with Gistzlife, the thespian disclosed that she attempted to exit her marriage thrice but ended up finding herself stuck in it.

She revealed that after marriage, couples tend to know each other better compared to their dating stage.

Kuti added that men’s egocentric urge to cheat is also another factor that makes women contemplate divorce.

She is not talking about unfaithful married women that can knack both single and married men join. Promiscuous married women. Everywhere. Just talk from your own point its so many things that can lead to breakup In marriage. It can be financial struggle. Etc. Not only cheating.

Things are really happening in marriage/relationships that i just don’t want to say it out. What Nigerian men are using our eyes to see. eh! hmmmm! undecided

All what men want is sex!! After sex, they treat you like trash! Some men would even beat and rape their wife and tell her to her face that there’s nothing like rape in marriage. sad

The honest truth is, there’s nothing a man can bring to my life that I can’t get myself. I enjoy my own company and I don’t feel the need or want to get married. I don’t think it will add anything to my life at all.

I got out of two long term back-to-back abusive relationships in 2020 and have pretty much sworn off men. I don’t need a man to make me happy and I will continue to hate men!

Depends on how they got married, who they married and reasons they got married.most women marry for selfish reasons and not because they love the person and buy into his vision. Marriages like that can't and won't stand the test of time. I know two of my childhood female friends who are married for almost 10years now and you see them love and cherish their husbands everyday till today. I was with one today and she was telling me she wouldn't swap her husband for anything or anyone in the world and I was so jealous. Her husband isn't rich, just normal worker like her and they have two kids. Is it that they don't argue atimes or etc? No. But they understand marriage is commitment and not party and everyone needs to be on same page. I've never seen any of these my friends post about their family life on social media. But today's women bring their issues on socials, how do you expect such marriage or relationship to last?

It gladens my soul that you lost both relationships because obviously, you were two timing.

You got out of 2 long term relationships in 2020. Which means you must have been in 2 long term relationships until 2020. Long term relationships count years and not months.

That is. If you got out of one long term relationship in 2020. It is impossible to get out of another long term relationship in the same 2020, as anything long-term relationship is at least 2years. The next one should be 2022 at least.

I hope guys can see that No Nigerian girl ever has one boyfriend at any given time.

Just like men, women want to be single too. The compulsion to marry only arises from the need to have children before they can’t anymore plus the need to show people that they can get someone to marry them. Once those needs are met then it’s good riddance.

If men were the ones with biological clocks, women will charge men for marriage. We will have marriage workers like we have sex workers today. 2 million per year. Money for hand, ring for finger.

If you want to leave leave and allow everyone to rest.

You ladies think most times guys don't think of leaving marriage or relationship, it's just that guys are more prone make decisions not because of how they feel (feelings has nothing to add in decision making) but what ought to be.

You think because most divorces are initiated by women means men caused more problems in marriage? No, it means men are more prone to stay in marriage irrespective of the issues caused by partners in marriage, they are prone to fight for the marriage than women do

One thing I loathe is someone threatening divorce or ending relationship and using it as a weapon to perpetuate their nefarious intent. I will help you bring that zeal to fruition that same minute.

Where most women have problems with marriage is they have Hollywood fantasies before venturing into marriage without knowing that marriage is not a place where you enjoy but a place of work where you raise and nurture the next generation of leaders in the country. When this Hollywood fantasies becomes different with real life situation that issues of contempt for their marriage becomes glaring for most women leading to high rate of divorce from women.

You better work for your marriage but if you want contempt for it take a walk and start your life elsewhere.

There are still men who are real men. They treat women with courtesy and decorum. The awful truth, however, is that some of these men get dumped and mistreated in return.
