What offence did you commit? Universities don't just deny people their right to graduate.

He never mentioned what the "non-academically related issue" was. Anyway, the right thing should be done.

Of course, good that he has adopted legal option for redress.
However, before I can make further comment, he needs to let us know the "non-academically related issue' connected to him as he alluded to

I'm more concerned about what he did wrong.
I've had my share of experiences with one sided stories.

Nigerians won't criticise this guy; yet, shielded by the walls of some building, in thire capacity as employers examining the certificates of prospective employees, they'd be raising eyebrows at one out of the following origin institutes: University of London versus University of Lagos versus University of Nsuka versus Kampala University of Uganda!

Hypocrites!

Wetin dem talk say you do?? A university is not obliged to award you a degree for paying fees. If you're going to be parading their certificate upandan for passing through their school, then the school needs to pass through you first! Hope you and your school settles the matter amicably without recourse to SM courts! cool

The guy wasn't qualified to begin the program in the first place.

He didn't follow due process.

If the school admitted him and even released his results. He qualified.

Do you know admission is a two way process? He can have results with being admitted.

They are so funny that they expect you to take a remedial course after tendering wassce in order to gain admission?

In other words, Uganda does not rate wascce.?

Funny people. 😂

A small altercation with the school finance manager at a bar club (Lady)

Then denying him graduation is not the way to go at all. He wasn't involved in any form of malpractices.

it was stated in the last letter - an altercation with a finance manager of the institution. He was asked to apologise and he did.
But just like in Nigeria, the university did not forget the incident.
Leave Uganda. In Nigeria, universities dismiss final year year students for offences they committed when they were freshers.
