Lmaoo. As if Giannis didn't ok his hiring in the first place. The man did not have a clue and most likely lost the locker room 3 of their 5 starters are competent level defensive players |
Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 2:52am On Jan 24 |
Ben Simmons is practically stealing for a living in the NBA at this point! |
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 2:57am On Jan 24 |
Lol. Even Nigerians tire for the man But what am I hearing about Doc Rivers being the replacement? His jazz man is strong oh
|
Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 3:02am On Jan 24 |
A40: Bucks hierarchy wanted to hire N. Nurse but Giannis disagreed and wanted Griffin, pretty much a continuation of wanting to control coaching. Today, Bud despite being a championship winning coach as recently as 2 years ago can’t get a gig. So because he hired him, he is excused from the nonsense behaviors he portrayed against Adrian. I said it before, I blame Griffin for not setting boundaries with these cats. Ultimately, his career is now ruined and may never get another head coaching gig because of his lack of courage to COACH the team! Let the records show, the Bucks were ranked 2nd in the East with a 30-13 record when A. Griffin was fired. Doc Rivers is rumored to be his replacement, I will be here. He better finish 1st in the East and make the Bucks a top 5 defensive team before the season ends. |
Re: The NBA Begins by greypencils: 6:36am On Jan 24 |
A40:This is serious. I am of the same opinion though. The Bucks are vulnerable at the perimeter. Something has to give especially with the Pacers and Heat loading up on ammunition. The Celtics have done theirs already. These 3 are ready to slay anything in the playoffs. The Bucks had better be ready. |
Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 7:41am On Jan 24 |
Darvin Ham's last timeout in today's game was with 9:48 left in the 4th This is definitely someone who has no coaching ideas to tell his lads. |
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 11:42am On Jan 24 |
greypencils:They're the most unconvincing 30-13 team I've ever seen. I don't know if it's their weak schedule but there's no win of theirs this season that particularly jumps out to me. 1 Like 1 Share |
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 1:31pm On Jan 24 |
Roland17:If the rumors of Nick Nurse is true then Giannis 100% fvcked up. He would have been an upgrade on Griffin. But then again race baiters and hustlers would have made it a race thing. Can you imagine ESPN getting wind of such story? And no Giannis has never controlled coaching. In fact he has been accused of being passive and docile in series matchups cos he was following instructions of coach and not picking up the opponents best player even when he's cooking them like last year against the Heat and the other year they beat them. Do I think Griffin was fired prematurely? Absolutely. Not giving him at least 1 year was criminal but I recall warning you that Griffin was not going to last the way he was going and I was 100% right |
Re: The NBA Begins by larride(m): 12:45am On Jan 25 |
Doc Rivers cant coach defense even if his life is on the line. |
Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 1:27am On Jan 25 |
Roland17: I was out of the country for a minute, had to resolve some things. Thanks for checking in! |
Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 1:30am On Jan 25 |
Roland17: Griffin over Nurse? Loool, thats crazy. I felt like Nurse was the perfect fit for the Bucks, at least while they still had Jrue. Doc Rivers is about to completely immolate his reputation if these guys arent top 4 in the East come playoffs. |
Re: The NBA Begins by larride(m): 1:38am On Jan 25 |
birdman: They will be top 4. The offense will bulldoze it's way through. |
Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 1:58am On Jan 25 |
larride: Its doc rivers o, his capacity to under deliver is gigantic |

birdman: Birdman! Birdman!! Happy to have you back. 1 Like |
Re: The NBA Begins by larride(m): 2:59am On Jan 25 |
birdman: I know. That's why I said hiring him because Griffin doesn't know how to set up the team to defend is laughable. Doc Rivers is shit when it comes to defensive set up |
Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 4:29pm On Jan 25 |
https://nypost.com/2024/01/24/sports/espn-addresses-doc-rivers-quick-departure-to-coach-bucks/ Life decisions man. Im sure Doc had to weigh this in his mind. His relationship with ESPN is likely burnt by this move, probably will never broadcast for them again. But if he goes far with the Bucks, then it will be worth it. If he gets fired in a season, and has to find another job, oh well... |
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 4:44pm On Jan 25 |
Bro nobody wanna hear Doc's hoarse, vegetable grater voice talkin basketball. I'm already pondering watching the NBA Finals on mute. Who fires the only two people that make their game coverage interesting, no disrespect to Mike Breen but color commentary exists for a reason. Play by play is not enough you need to have both |
Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 8:16pm On Jan 25 |
Many of today's players are so soft mentally and anything gets to them. Doncic gets a fan removed from the stadium because he was heckled by the fan. "Luka, you're tired! Get your a** on the treadmill," is what got Doncic upset to the point of asking security to remove the fan! 1 Like |
Re: The NBA Begins by larride(m): 10:35pm On Jan 25 |
Roland17: To be fair to Doncic, he did say the fan did insult him all through the first half and not just because of that one comment. |
Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 11:20pm On Jan 25 |
larride: What is the insult? The ejected fan was right behind media members who heard everything and questioned why he asked for the fan to be ejected. Nothing racial, threatening or about his family was said by the fan.. Doncic is extremely emotional and it got to him. He was asked what the insult was, he responded, the reporter heard it all of it but the same media and reporters are asking why he asked since they heard everything.. Luka is sensitive and his weight has been a historical topic since he joined the league. Zion despite the incredible diss and heckling he suffers from both home and away fans, never cries about. |

Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 6:43am On Jan 26 |
What a finish! Credit to Kings for trapping Curry withThe double for that final possession. For some reason, I still can’t overlook these Warriors. |
Re: The NBA Begins by yinkeys(m): 7:54am On Jan 26 |
Is the NBA a hyped league I tried to keep up several times but it fails to keep my attention I doze off sometimes while watching Oh well, nothing beats football or soccer like the Americans call it |
Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 3:19pm On Jan 26 |
Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 6:13pm On Jan 26 |
Roland17: As long as Curry is playing, anything can happen come playoffs. The rest of the team got old though, injuries etc. At this point, Kerr is a known commodity. the league has studied him well enough |
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 4:17am On Jan 27 |
Steph's unclutchness is sorely under reported. His late game fumbles are just ridiculous. Plus Kerr is having a disaster class coaching this season birdman:You believe this Warriors go make playoffs?? |
Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 4:57am On Jan 27 |
4 players score over 60 points in the month of January with Doncic scoring 73 today agains the Hawks. |
Re: The NBA Begins by chic2pimp(m): 5:20am On Jan 27 |
Roland17: A friend of mine has been telling me for a while now that He believes Luka is the Greatest NBA scorer of all time. He just sent me a text. He has now scored more Points in a singular game than Jordan,Lebron,Bird,Magic,Shaq,D.Robinson,Steph,KD et al and his efficiency dwarfs the ones that have scored more. |
Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 8:02am On Jan 27 |
A40: This is just january o. and we havent past the trade deadline |
Re: The NBA Begins by etidy: 1:15pm On Jan 27 |
Roland17: While the level of offensive talent in the nba is the highest we have ever seen, something has to be said about the defending. Nba defenses are now atrocious , mostly because of the rules and officiating. The 2017 Warriors, a team who some consider the Greatest Team Ever would rank 18th in offensive rating behind the Nets in todays NBA. That year I am sure the gap between the warriors and the next best team was about 5 points ( I will check that up). Just 5 years ago (not even the 90s) teams scoring 120 was a rarity and that would imply a blow out, now you have at least one team scoring 140 points every night. The 70 point games of doncic and embiid feel like 40 points if context is applied . |
Re: The NBA Begins by etidy: 1:47pm On Jan 27 |
You can see the insanity. 2017 warriors with prime Steph, KD, Klay , draymond, good bench and offensive genius Steve kerr had 112 points per game. Look at what teams are averaging per game today. I don't blame old heads not respecting young cats numbers. 1 Like 1 Share

Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 4:27pm On Jan 27 |
etidy:Anyone that doesn't believe today's numbers are inflated just doesn't know basketball. 2017 Warriors will not make top 15 offense today. But how many teams today beat them in a 7 game series But they will tell you this era of players are so skilled so better. And yet we have the likes of Steph, Bron and KD putting better numbers now than 5-10 years ago when they were at their athletic prime. Does that make sense to any thinking person?? 2 Likes 1 Share |
