He remains the best among those that contested the election, maybe any other would have been better but they were not on the ballot. Times are hard for Nigerians but I believe there's light at the end of the tunnel.
Saying light is at the end of the tunnel does not make it so. We are moving in the same direction but somehow you believe you are heading to light.
Please what are some of the policy changes that would help lift us out of poverty? What is the present administration doing better than the last?
Stop fooling yourself.
After telling us for 8 years that Buhari was the next best thing after sliced bread, do you think Tinubu has any better to offer?

This is how Nigeria has been making remarkable achievements on all negative indices all year round, but just let a small positive come in that will not even benefit their father, you will see how Yoruba Ronu will jump in and start singing praises of their overlord, Tinubu

Dangote Refinery was supposed to bring down the price of fuel to below previous low, according to the promises of Buhari and then Tinubu. Reason they gave us for funding the Refinery with our scarce foreign exchange. But now Dangote has decided to buy crude from USA, which has now cut short the hope of the previous promise.

Even if they were able to bring down the fuel pump price to ₦500 and Naira rose a little to ₦1200/$, Ronus would start praising Tinubu like some sort of magical Lord.

And you're acting yours?

You keep downplaying the feelings of other Nigerians on nairaland by supporting the terrible and damning policies of those in government because your guardians are shielding you from the harsh realities of life out in the streets, and you feel it's okay?

At your age you have decided to be blind to the truth by making nonsense of the legitimate concerns of suffering Nigerians, simply because you don't even know how it feels like to pay something as minute as light bills. You don't know the cost of garri in the market. You don't know what it means to wake up every morning without any hope of what to eat. All you do is come on nairaland, fool around and provoke people, despite how you're in your late 20s and you think it's normal?

Stop gaslighting people! Nigerians are suffering. Stop this Asiwaju nonsense because there is no longer any humour to it. A dollar is now 1,520 naira. A crate of eggs is 4K. A carton of standard noodles is 7,500 naira. But you have no idea because you don't even know the road to the market.

Don't abuse what privileges life has accorded you! Act your age and be sensible enough to show empathy for once in your silly life!

I thought when a president visit a Country, a guard of honor is mounted at the Presidential villa to welcome him. Either, that he is on an official visit or for an important issue.
Presidents, hardly stays more than 3 days in a country he visited.
How come Tinubu sneaked into France and will be there gorgeous over 2weeks.
Buhari was going to UK and now Tinubu has chose France.
How do u expect Other countries to respect us?
People are dying everyday and he doesn't care.
Elections has consequences when you chose people based on tribe, as he ascends he doesn't care about you but for his pocket and friends.

Re: Nigeria Ranks 109th Out Of 125 Countries In 2023 Global Hunger Index by nairalanda1(m): 4:30pm On Jan 31, 2024
The solution is mechanized and scientific farming.

The USA can feed itself, despite having 4% of its population involved in active farming, because most of its farms are large scale mechanized farms.

Here in Nigeria, we have lots of subsistence farms. I admire subsistence farmers, but there is so much one man, one woman can do with a hoe. Just so much. There is a reason why Burkina cannot compete with the USA...the US has mechanized farming. Burkina relies on one man with a hoe , ie hundreds of thousands of them, who can only do so much.

Let's even focus on the fact that getting food to market in Nigeria is expensive. Roads are bad, no reliable railways, petrol is now expensive because no cash to keep subsides high enough to lower prices. Not enough silos.

At the end, we have to find a way to raise the 10% of farming that is mechanized and large scale to something like 50% then we can talk.

Maybe, but at the end, it would have been better to vote out APC for non-performance, and see what others can do. If they mess up, we vote em out, and bring back APC. Maybe it would make them political elites sit up, maybe not. But at the end, change had to come, and bringing in tinubu was not the answer.

The problem is that Nigerians never understood the meaning of subsidy. During the presidential election, the top 3 contestants all said they'll remove subsidy and Nigerians were okay with that without understanding the implications it will have in the economy. Now you're all here raining insult on him. I was never in support of subsidy removal cos that's the only way FG is reaching out to the least Nigerian.
Let's only pray that the refineries get ready on time.

Because your papa no make am, then what it means is that nobody in your family can make it?

So because Tinubu is not doing well, that automatically means others won't do well?

Are you from that side? If yes, my apologies.
Because majority of people from that side aren't reasonable.

OBJ was doing a better job of selecting technocrats for vital ministerial and governance positions.

The same cannot be said of Tinubu, where his governance officials are questionable.

Cardoso is one of the boys and not qualified for the CBN seat; the same can be said of the minister of finance.

EXCLUSIVE: Tinubu screws Nigeria over in Paris, returns OPL 245 ownership to Shell-Eni after cornering lucrative onshore assets to nephew Wale’s Oando
A seething senior administration official criticised the president as spending every day trying to “validate his worst inclinations as a dyed-in-the-wool con man.”

This is what you get when you reward failure.

APC failed and destroyed Nigeria within a short span of 8 years and Nigerians have rewarded them with another 8 years.

By the time Tinubu finish with Nigeria after 8 years, they will be deporting Nigerians from Somalia.

Your former presidiot, Muhammad B0k0hari, during his campaign promised to take LIEGERIA from the TOP to the BOTTOM. And you guys thought he was joking, and what happened? Then during your recent (s)election, the current occupant of A$$ Hole Rock, presidot E-Bola Tiefnubu promised to start from where B0k0hari stopped. What do you think he meant by that? If B0k0hari took LIEGERIA from the top to the bottom, then Tiefnubu will take you from the bottom to the bottomless (lower than the bottom). So, I am NOT sure why you guys are shocked and complaining. He was upfront and told you what he was going to do but MOST of you ignorant fools were applauding and cheering him on saying, "E-Bola On Your Mandate We Shall Stand," just like you did with B0kohari, "Sai Baba!"

You should add a measure of shame to that sadness. With all that's going on in the country right now, I least expected you to admit to the error in your judgements and take a different posturing to issues. But you have shamelessly remained inclined to tribal extremism, for which you and your likes are willing to bury other Nigerians.

You have a lot of introspection to do, Rose.
