Mumu guy. Na stadium be him target? Smh.

So because Orji uzo Kalu used his massive sponsorship of enyimba FC in 2002/2003...2003/2004 that saw them win two CAF champions league on the trot to endear himself to football loving Abians before milking them dry...and the subsequent orjis continued where he stopped, Otti feels that what he needs to get people's love is building a stadium?

People will watch football on empty stomach?

Well, we don’t know the full details of the proposed stadium: whether it would have shopping spaces, as we see in some other countries. If it comes with shops, then I won’t criticize this project cos the governor would be further enabling commerce in the state.

BAT has reportedly gotten himself another oil deal..

Story may be true but the journalism is crass

Tinubu has lived in France for a long time and does not need to meet Shell Eni in France, he can meet them anywhere and they are not French companies.

I believe Tinubu is having medical treatment in France as he has done for years, and was in France for months for the same purpose during the End Sars protest, granting interviews from France

Youssouf, in a statement he signed, titled, ‘Bodija Explosion: My Own Side of the Story,’ in Ibadan, the state capital, said though the incident was unfortunate, his activities as a miner were legal.

He said, “I felt the need to, once again, state my own side of the story to clear the minds of the public about my alleged involvement in the sad occurrence.

Insinuations are rife that I am the owner of the Ground Zero building where the explosives that led to the explosion were stockpiled and warehoused, prior to the incident.

“It is against the above that I categorically state and declare here again now that I am not the owner of the building and explosives in question. While it is true that l am into mining in Oyo State, all my activities are legal, in accordance with the provisions of the Nigerian Constitution.”

Youssouf added that he also didn’t have “anything to do with the explosives that led to the huge loss of human lives and the collateral destruction of property at the scene of the incident.”

The statement added, “I am using this medium to appeal to the state government, security agencies and other appropriate authorities to beam their searchlight further to reveal the identity of the real owners of the building and the explosives that led to the explosion of January, 16.”

He, therefore, promised to make himself available whenever he is needed to assist security agencies in the course of further investigation into the sad incident.

Hmmmm....So the alleged foreigner being blamed for the Ibadan explosion has come out to deny ownership of the building according to Seyi Makinde's story and also claimed his minibg activities in Oyo State are legal.

The guy is practically calling Seyi Makinde a liar based on his story. Where do we go from here?

So there was a thread on FP earlier this week that has PDP claiming the newly sworn-in Kogi governor created an office for former governor

https://www.nairaland.com/7985343/office-immediate-past-governor-created#128193850

Then there was another thread about the governor reacting to the news and claiming the news as fake. The claim the rumour is the work of mischief makers

https://www.nairaland.com/7985821/reports-office-immediate-past-governor#128200846

But now a video of the governor has surfaced on the Internet in which he was advising the people of Kogi to obey an order from the former governor Yahaya Bello and ignore his own if there was ever a time both of them give contrasting orders

https://www.instagram.com/reel/C2xjFjAoaaQ/?igsh=MTgxNTcxb2c0MzY5Mg==

How can such state experience real development/progress?🤦‍♂️

Bro, it goes beyond that. The way it is now, Bello might be better than the clown. For you to know his level of his weakness and foolishness, all the appointments made so far are mostly either Bello's kinsmen or relatives.

My people made Bello god. They appreciate and sing his praise for a work done. This Same people turn around and complain of perpetual poverty, no job, no food and nothing works and then you wonder if they ever make use of their brain.

We've lost every hope in kogi state and as it is now, if you want to "disstroy" them, you might be used for a shot practice by hungry mofos who are planted around us for the same reason.

I can confidently tell you that the office was even built by Bello himself at the last minute of his tenure.

The reason for that? Your guess is as good as mine.

What do u think is responsible for all these?

Is it tribal politics?
Is it low literacy level in the state?
Is it non-challancy of the educated elite?
Or is it that the state was never designed to develop?

A mining site is not a 2 bedroom apartment where nobody knows what you are doing.

Is it possible to mine in a state, and the state government would be unaware; I mean mining for years?

Oyo state government (maybe not Makinde) cannot tell us it was illegal. They can hold on to the fact that storing explosives was illegal, but not the activity

Mining wey need tens to hundreds of acres of land, na him state government no know?

You don't know this for a fact.

The man says he is operating a legal business ; mining is regulated by FG not LG or state government. Let the state government bring evidence that suggests the man was operating a mine in the state without FG's approval.

If u remember Makinde's security adviser's( Owoseni) interview on Channels TV he mentioned that they have been engaging FG on the mining issue in the state since the Buhari era. He said each time they engage the miners they always show evidence of approval from FG.

Now this Malian is corroborating same story that he has FG's approval. The responsibility is now on Oyo State government to investigate whether indeed the approval this man claims he has is from the federal ministry of mines and solid minerals.

Also the man has denied ownership or any link of the building now referred to as ground zero. The onus is on Oyo State government tó bring whatever evidence they have that suggests the man owns or operates the building. At least they are in control of the state ministry of housing and physical planning na.

This should not be a case of " If u can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshiit " on the part of the Oyo State government

Whatever mining is going on is not large scale /industrial /organized. If it was we would not be having no name unidentified companies, Unnamed malian miners.

To date no one has been interviewed on TV. No one has even been arrested for improper storage of dynamite.

To this day no one has even said exactly what minerals are being exploited.

This is also why I believe there was not that much scrutiny to begin with. Whatever mining going on was lowercase, clandestine, 'miner and brothers', not 'miner plc'.

The Miner's name is Sawane Youssouf and he has come out to allege everything Seyi Makinde has been saying are lies. He has come out to confirm he is a miner operating in Oyo state with an approval from Federal government of Nigeria.

The onus is now on Seyi Makinde to disclose the information he has as the CSO of Oyo state that suggests the miner was operating illegally in the state, that the building now referred as ground zero belongs to the miner and that the miner stored explosives in that residential premises against the laws of the state and federal republic of Nigeria.

Na Seyi Makinde get explanations to do ; not the other way round.
