Am not in support of one not paying back a loan, but den these companies are capitalising on the harsh economy to deal with people. 10k to pay back 15k in 5days, how possible ?? Why not give out reasonable amounts dat on can use for business and give a long repayment time, so if the debtor doesn't pay we den know it's d person's fault.

Access Bank even advice me to take loan for Valentine . Me wey family responsibility wan wound.

Infact they would ask you to pay back in 7days, if you manage to pay and decide not to take again, they would send their agents to start calling/sending you messages encouraging you to take loan.

These people does not mean well for nigerians.

For example: If you tell them that you don't have money to pay on the due day (7day) they would ask you to borrow from another loan app to pay them.

That 103k they offer, you would pay back 150 when the time comes.
Even more than that, I'll be paying 1k everyday depending on how long the loan last if i take the loan, though I have nothing to do with their loan but their app is amazing.

If you have challenges, borrow money from your friends and family. The loan apps are busineses to make profit, and because of the hostile environment (ie the cost of chasing chronic "onigbeses", that always feel only them have challenges) the cost and terms of such loans will be drastic.
Most of you folks sef, friends and family will not borrow money because you will not pay without a fight.

This mist be one of them let me run away from you.

A struggling economy is a loan sharks paradise.
But they knew the risks and are willing to take it. If anyone pays their exhorbitant interest.... they smile to the bank.
If people refuse to pay ... They should count their losses
exactly.

Who is even regulating this people. Why would some give you a 7k and collect 10k in one week. Damn crazy the govt should ban them all

Once you agree to take the loan, you are obligated to pay, no stories or excuses, even if you have to borrow from another app to pay. A gun was not put on your head to take the loan, you saw their terms and conditions before accepting the money. You saw it was a very high short term interest loan and you decided to take it instead of rejecting.
I have had need for urgent money, approached loan apps and when I saw the terms was not favorable, I rejected it. They called and called me, I said I did not want and that I had uninstalled their app. Heaven did not fall, my financial need was resolved by me suffering for that period.
This is can be likened to Nigeria, we have leaders that cannot cut their coat to size, instead of reducing expenses, they take loans with unfavorable terms from imf, world bank etc, "loan apps", time to pay, they start complaining.
Abroad eg you take loans, you must pay, even your car, repo man will come and carry your car when you are in hospital, even church or dropping your kids at school.

If the loan app operators are not crooks while encourage somebody owning you to go and borrow from another loan app to pay you?

If banks give loan to people,u will see all this online loan died...
We are praying not to eat our enemies food and there is our friend who do not have food stuffs at home to cook for us and hunger is not a friend to the body ,then what do we do ?
As I am talking to you now..
Am owing palm pay,flextrade,and fairmoney...
And yet am a civil servant....
Imagine ordinary trade loan Zenith Bank don't give but if politicians approach them for money...they will gather the all the money u and I saved with them give to politicians...
Life no balance...
ZENITH BANK IS THE MOST USELESS BANK I HAVE SEEN ...
They don't have any loan for their customers, and this is the major reason the likes of LAPO AND ASHA WITH OTHERS are really tearing Nigerians...
Sad we have nowhere to run to !!? Anytime I remember the story of a woman who set herself ablaze just because of owing LAPO 70,000 NAIRA...TEARS ROLL DOWN MY EYES...

Honestly this is the truth. Why should you think loan business will thrive in an economy as this. Some people genuinely want to pay back but money no dey. Should they commit suicide?

These ones that called themselves LETSHEGO that is hidden inside QUICKTELLER APP gave me a loan of ₦70,000 to pay 90kplus for a period of 3 months. I thought i will pay the 90k at the end of 3months but these guys started harassing me at the end of one month. Two days after the first month, they auto charged my account with ₦31,733. That was not a problem for me. But the criminals still auto charged me ₦31,733 again after some hours.

I called them but the idi..ot started insulting me and even told his colleague (a girl) to tell me off too. I wrote emails to them and copied QUICKTELLER. They acknowledged the error and promised to reverse the extra debit but they never did. Fast forward to a month later, they auto debited me again. Which made it 3 installment payment for the ₦90kplus.

As i am talking to you now. Those animals are still harassing me for the payment of ₦31,733. Where as they have not reversed that double debit they did the first month. I AM PATIENTLY WAITING FOR THEM WITH THE COURT AND EFCC

Pls educate me here.
Did they debit your bank account?

They belong to the Chinese government. Even the beautiful opay.

They double their money every 30 days with 30 to 50% interest rate on loans that are at most 2 weeks long.

Well, I know a loan company in Port Harcourt owned by a bank manager of the first generation Banks. And I think some of them have loan app.

Well, thank you for informing me that the Chinese own most of them.

The only two loan app in my opinion that is considerate is Fair money and Palm Credit.
