But somehow, Igbo belong to edo and benue. I still can't understand the meaning of the name of some communities in my locality. They sound edo or tiv.

The word "aza" is what is used since time immemorial. You can easily hear that from aged persons that don't understand English. "De eghe na khan gba aza." Simply means when are we disbursing or crediting, etc.
