Same question I have been asking.
Could be hackers too... grin

More likely human error inputting the wrong bid units than hacking. Example, broker keys in the CSCS account number in the volume field instead. Not new.

Looks like they sold directly from your friend's account. He should check his statement so they don't pass any of the costs to him.

But fx losses for nigerian companies will continue even in q1 2024 due to continuous devaluation of the Naira.
So its really hard to say what happens after AFS. But I expect them to be consistent in dividend payout.

Possible. Someone's head might roll for such an error...

Man's shocked being a newbie... grin

FX losses will only adversely affect coys without foreign links (branches, assets, etc). Yes the big players will record 'FX losses' but they will also capitalize on these 'losses'.

FBNH did just that and I believe other big players like the Dangote Group will do likewise... grin

šŸ˜ He should not be worried. Must have been an error the broker made. He should just be sure he doesn't take any of the costs.

To be certain, he should call them on what he observed. The firm could have just crossed the whole units to their portfolio and sell from there. But I guess trying to cut costs/losses.

How good is T212. Is their service reliable? especially for those of us with tashere funds.
Can I come to your DM?

Mankind2024:

In 2013, I requested Meristem to adjust my buying fee to 0.5% based on the benchmar @Morgan, they replied that they can only consider if my portfolio worth is N100M, at the time I was struggling to build an investment portfolio of N1m, fast and forward portfolio is smiling @ over a quater NGN Bili.
Just waiting to cross the N0.5B b4 requesting morgan to adjust the current 0.5% to 0.25%.
U will all know once it is granted.
Investing for free is the ultimate.
T212 platform does not charge Nigerian investors for global stock exchanges any commission. I was lucky to have opened an account with them in 2019.
As at today, Nigeria is no longer among the countries they accept.

Let's be watching sha....
The Board Meeting of Sugar will throw more light on this.

Very correct!
Everything seems to indicate that NASCON and Rice have already been absorbed (just waiting for official declaration).
Even DS did not release UFS for Q4 2023.
Let's wait for the outcome of the Board Meeting on 28th Feb... grin

KarlTom:
The Chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group, Dr Umaru Kwairanga, has disclosed that two companies in the Dangote Industries Group will be listed on the exchange soon.

Kwairanga made this revelation on Tuesday during a closing-gong ceremony in honour of the Senate Committee on Capital Market and Institutionā€™s visit to the NGX headquarters in Lagos.

He said, ā€œAs at last week, the president of Dangote assured me that the Dangote Refinery is going to be listed on this market very soon. He also said that apart from the refinery, he is going to list the fertiliser company (Dangote Fertiliser Limited). This is a commitment from the private sector... grin

Technically, NASCON doesn't seems to exist anymore.
Let's keep waiting for update from that angle.
Anyone trying to enter DANGFOODS should be buying until an official announcement is made......and suspension placed on them.

The two companies already agreed to a merger.
We'll get update as time goes on.

Most stockbroking firms now can be rated less than 30% in Efficiency and Effectiveness. NGX, SEC, and CSCS will pretend that they are not aware.

Soon, they will no longer be able to pretend about it.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by KarlTom: 2:12pm On Feb 15
No be everything be court grin

Let's wait for SEC approval before the HC will order a shareholders meeting
