elyte89: But we havenât done so yet?!?! Why will you want one of your most experienced midfielders to leave the set-up without an adequate replacement. Itâs one thing if we had a glut of MFs, but we donât. Itâs the same thing with Nwakwali. People will say donât invite him but are not providing an alternative. Iâm not so enamored by Nwakwali but I know he sabi spray pass which none of our current midfielders really can do. Like for crying out loud we went to AFCON with 5 midfielders. You could see the fatigue by the time we got to the final. Iwobi is one of our most capped players and is still playing consistently in a competitive league for his club. Why would we want him to quit the team when we have NOT identified an adequate replacement. This line of reasoning isnât sound in my humble opinion. 6 Likes |

komekn: This reasoning is not sound. Is it not Nwabali based in SA that performed well for us? Is the SA league better than the Portuguese league? If he can add a skillset to our midfield that none of our current MFs can add, why not invite him? That is the question that no one can answer. 11 Likes 2 Shares |

Please tell him o. Using same logic, Chippa United is 12th in the league out of 16. why is Nwabali not catching all the balls to lift his team? mrwilliams9: 8 Likes 1 Share |

jihday: I've never participated in cyber bullying of players, but in my opinion, if you're a professional footballer and you can't take online abuse and threats from fans, you shouldn't be a footballer then... It's part of the work hazard... There's hardly any footballer in the world that hasn't received abuse from fans.. IMO, the cyber bullying is just an excuse to want to quit... The national team probably doesn't offer much benefit to them like their club... I'm very sure they get more abuse from fans at their clubs than in the national team.... I mean, in Iwobi's final years at arsenal,he waa the number one target by fans for abuses anytime they lose a game...ir got to the point where some fans were creating Twitter accounts dedicated to trolling him... Fans need to chill and understand that the players are human, and all human make mistake, and the players themselves need to know that most fans are emotionally driven and react based on the current performance. 2 Likes 1 Share |

I don't care where Nwakali is playing and what position the club is. Nobody believed a south African league keeper could be our hero at the AFCON. And one thing I'm certain about is that Osimhen underused in that team. Midfield is football. And Nwakali is needed in that middle. Thank you 10 Likes 2 Shares |

UCL: Victor Osimhen scores on his return from AFCON as Napoli stage comeback draw against Barcelona Nigeria Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen helped his side Napoli to a 1-1 draw against Spanish giants, Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League round of 16, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports. The goal poacher scored to cancel a Robert Lewandoski's strike to earn a point for Gli Azzurri at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. After a goalless affair in the first half, the visiting team broke the deadlock in the hour mark with Lewandoski putting the Blaugrana ahead. The Pole fired a powerful low shot into the bottom corner to put the away team in front with 30 minutes to go from a Pedri assist. Osimhen however equalled score 15 minutes later with what was his last strike of the game as he was substituted afterwards. Zambo Anguissa played a pass through to Victor Osimhen inside the box, and the Nigerian striker outmuscled IĂąigo MartĂnez before turning and finding the bottom corner. Osimhen has now scored 6 UCL goals at home and 9 goals in total in 16 appearances. 1 Like |

Joebie:I can bet with my left ball that he will never reply this. He keeps blaming one player for the woes of his club. Meanwhile he has created more assists than other players from his DLP position. Has more forward passes In opposition half than every other player in the club, created most big chances. I wonder if he will be the GK and the CF. They say he is lazy off the ball, but his heatmaps always say otherwise. But ask them who we can introduce to our MF, they will call a player that have not even declared his intention for GWG. They for some people. Friendlies are coming up, But some will have a death wish if his name appears in the list. But ask them of other options to inject in the MF, they keep mute. Haba! Like say the young man snatch dem GF. 4 Likes |
