Umueme: Though his generalised comment was uncalled for, the state gov’t agency or LG responsible left themselves wide open to receive such catty remarks by not doing their job properly or timely! Before promotional pics of new/completed projects are taken to be uploaded all over social-media, effort should be made to ensure said project is looking its best for the camera! If i were in-charge, i’d have ensured the road was swept first before pics are taken! 1 Like |

IGBOSON1:Our major problem is our hypocrisy, trying to tell ourselves lies hoping it becomes the truth. The people you are saying are not lgbos are lgbos but you chose to lie to yourself. We all know the state most of them are from in south east and the attitude of people from that state even in real life. The guy Swagana have to respond with savagery the wade off the irritants and I am wholly in support of his action, sometimes you have to cure madness with equal or more madness. All these they are not lgbos are pure bunkum, when people from the other side rear their ugly heads it is not hard to detect, we know their mode , you even saw when one of them @Nzogbu2012 commented above. So we know who is who, all these they are lgala, they are ldoma or Yoruba nonsense has to stop THE PEOPLE DOING THIS ARE IGBOS FROM A PARTICULAR STATE. PERIOD 5 Likes |

Objectivist04: IGBOSON1 is a hypocrite and a die hard UGM sympathizer/supporter and quick to call anyone who disagrees with him a non Igbo person.. because he has IGBO in his moniker does not give him the right to think he is the only authentic Igbo in this platform.I was only defending my state against a wicked intruder who has no business polluting a thread dedicated to Abia state development. 1 Like |

IGBOSON1: True. But like I keep on saying on this thread, I have no government affliation neither does the owner of the pictures. This pictures aren't for propaganda so no need for beautification before snapping 1 Like |

Umueme: I heard that Aba is not on national grid, does that mean that everything in Aba runs on generator including street lights you just posted? I am really curious on how such an industrial city has been surviving all these years |

This non-stamped photo of Aba impressed me. If Nigerians can love their nation and consider themselves as part of Government it won't take long for us to develop. 7 Likes

Abagworo:I love what am seeing and hope Aba people will help to keep it clean, secure it with jealousy. Haters will be wishing their governor comes close to what Alex Otti is doing, thereby venting hate against Abia people and her Government. 6 Likes |

Abia state is a ragtag state with almost no basic infrastructures. But these mumus came here to compare it to a great state like Anambra. This Chinua Achebe international airport Anambra’s. Even in the next 200yrs Abia won’t still have an airport. Una shame dey shame me oo hahaha Nigercity prove me wrong

This is Alaoji power plant in Aba, Abia State with 504 Megawatts capacity. It is different from Geometrics with 188 Megawatts capacity. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Pd4M63QZ8g?si=s9n-8Fs4vGF3cZbn https://guardian.ng/energy/tcn-declares-alaoji-biggest-substation-in-southern-region/amp/ 3 Likes |

Umueme: What are the establishments on these two opposing vast empty lands? Churches or schools? Otti's roads are not standard roads by my definition compared with Ikpeazu. Open gutters and no sidewalks should never be seen as normal. 1 Like

This should be the lowest standard for urban areas. 1 Like

Re: Abia State Development Thread- PICTURES by Umueme: 8:50pm On Feb 28 |
Abagworo: Exactly my opinion. Ikpeazu used concrete tech on almost all the roads he built. The ones he did without concrete all collapsed before his tenure elapsed. He wasn't fast though, and I'll give Otti that. To be fair to Otti, he's been rehabilitating roads as almost all major roads in Aba except PH road were done by Ikpeazu. I do hope he'll surpass Ikpeazu. The empty lots should be school premises. There are no free/empty plots in Aba now 😅 1 Like |

Aba is the future as it was the past. Abia can actually begin the seaport at Azumiri and if the federal government objects is 6000% suggest Abia take the case to federal court. It is illegal to deny people access to sea by international law. 4 Likes |

IGBOSON1: This was commissioned in 2012 by GEJ. I think It's a FG project, not sure though 2 Likes |
Re: Abia State Development Thread- PICTURES by Umueme: 9:03pm On Feb 28 |
Ofodirinwa: That is what we are asking for now. The amount of containers coming from Onne to Aba alone is alarming. The FG refused to repair the Ukwa axis of the PH-Aba road and it frustrates us. Ariaria alone is enough to bring income to the port; then imagine cemetery market, ahia ohuru, shopping center and all the almaco,, plumbing and tiles sellers along faulks road, pound road, st Micheals........infact the entire Aba is a market ripe enough for a seaport. I pray they don't fix exorbitant fees for clearing goods if actualized though 3 Likes |

Together with all these economic enablers and drivers, the state gov’t should ensure everyone (corporate and individual) pays their tax! This will ensure there’s money to build on what’s already on ground! 1 Like |
