FY 2023 NET SALES UP 8.6% YOY; PAT DOWN 4.7% YOY, IMPACTED BY FX DEVALUATION LOSSES

FY 2023 Net Sales up 8.6% YoY
Strong Balance Sheet position: FY 2023 Free Cash Flow N109.7bn, strong Net Cash N142bn
FY 2023 PBT up 15.7% YoY in spite of N21bn Foreign exchange losses in 2023
Higher effective tax rate in 2023 (after expiry of Pioneer Status Incentive in 2022) coupled with pressures from FX losses led to a PAT decline of 4.7% YoY.
Continued focus on Product Solutions, Innovation, Operational Excellence, Health and Safety and Decarbonization

Truly, nobody can time the market.....In January, i rebalanced my portfolio and decided to dedicate 10% of it to Champion. When i started buying Champion this February, my projection timeline for profit was 2024/2025......... I was prepared to even wait into 2026; but Alas!!!! Christmas came early.......... However low she goes till end of Q2 will keep Naira cost averaging as fund is available. my Opinion with a bucket of salt.

Different strokes for different folks. As some dey mourn massive fx losses na so some dey celebrate massive fx gains.

We minority shareholders with only 3.5% can't sell below 12.

I will prefer Enjoycorp to buy us at a #20 or we ride the company with them.

My findings is that Heineken BV strategically kept ChampionBrew small.......Instead of allowing ChampionBrew launch new products, grow and become a competitor to NB, it used ChampionBrew for contract brewing and as a tool to checkmate Guinness and other brewers.

With Heineken out of the way, ChampionBrew is free to fight for market share from NB, Guinness and Interbrew. I see ChampionBrew regaining a stronghold in its region with the launch of new products. EnjoyCorp must raise the value of ChampionBrew if they must make a profit.

People patiently waiting for release of the result, which they promised to release yesterday 29th Feb.

Some offers on table, we don't know what the guys are up to......those offers may disappear immediately result is released and it turns +ve.

We are watching their drama..
