In a recent interview, former Nigerian football star Yakubu Aiyegbeni has revealed that he continues to receive messages and criticisms from fans, years after his infamous miss during the 2010 FIFA World Cup match against South Korea.

Abeg let people free the guy. He put in his best in that game. No point dragging him again. Afterall, even if he had scored there wasn't no way we'll have clinched the trophy.

Truth is, I stopped watching Nigerian football, and by extension, all football games because of Yakubu. I can’t come and have hypertension over something that does not concern me.
