What's up my guyssss.

I was the guy that wanted to quit his job to trade full time, after reading all of you guys submissions, I decided to test the waters first, so I went live this week, I funded around 10$ around 16K Nigerian Naira, my goal as I stated in my first post was to make around 2 to 3k a day trading Gold, and I succeeded.

I grew my account to over 31k this week.

I'm I still going to quit my Job? yes, but I'll wait till probably mid of the year.

I'm I overconfident about my skills? No, but I'm pretty confident I can make money consistently in the Gold market.

Do I think FTA rocks? Hell yeah.

Let me share you my experience,,, I quit my Bank job for Forex sept 2022, did I regret it? Hell no!!!!

I am a strong believer of financial independence.
Did I successfully become a day trader? Hell no

When I quit my job, I quickly discovered that I was not as skilled as much as I thought I was, I fully spent 1 year on Forex like dedicated my life to forex for 1 full year. I was footing my bills and also trading with my savings through that year and I fully respect myself for how I was able to handle everything without going to zero before getting another Job even though I was losing money constantly

Did I regret my actions,,,, no!!!!!!!!!! Inshort I should have resigned earlier, because right now I know exactly what to expect and what I need to succeed as a full time day trader because I have firsthand experience,

Crazy how I have a job which pays me higher than my previous job but the amount of USD I can afford is way less than what I used to buy when I was jobless

i am finally out of NL jail. I don't know what I am doing that keeps getting me banned by NL bot. this is really annoying...

Meanwhile, last week was pretty rough for me. I started the week on a good footing but ended the week badly. Tues was a profitable day, Wed and Thurs were losing days although, Wed was a bit tricky for me as I shorted both NAS100 and US30, price rallied aggressively to the upside taking my SL and then dropped massively as I had anticipated. Meanwhile, I have a new rule to not trade on Mondays and Fridays, but last week Friday was an exception for me because it's NFP Friday and I trade NFP. I wasn't really bother about the previous losses of Wed and Thurs because I was really confident on making a killing in the market after NFP release. Unfortunately NFP took me to the moon and then dumped me. I normally trade after news release and not before the release to avoid wild market reactions after the news release, so I waited for NFP release which came out higher and stronger although average hourly earnings and unemployment rate was a miss, so the data was mixed for the dollar, and so I bought SP500, NAS100, and US30 an hour after NFP release, and price rallied up as I had expected but I was confused and indecisive on where to set my tp, and because of the strong NFP number that was released, I thought that price was very much still going to rally so I left the trades open, at that time price was up 250 pips from my entry on US30, 80 pips on NAS100 and 30 points on SP500 which is like 300 pips equivalent, so I left the trades open with out setting tp only to come back in the evening or night just at the start of PM session that price had dumped massively on both SP500 and NAS100, taking out my stoploss while US30 was back at my entry, I just closed US30 trade to cut my losses and then werey US30 rallied another 230 pips up after I had closed my trade and then later dump at market close. although I am not too hurt or emotional about it because the loses that my account suffers are marginal and I am confident that I can recover all those loses without gambling or doing anything stupid. But what bothers me is, how do I stop letting my winning trades turn to losing trades, I think it's now becoming an issue for me and I suspect that maybe my greed is the reason why I suffer from this dilemma...

Davigle my man, don't let market confuse you,am still seeing rally on those indices but presently do not know specific entry for us30,but am expecting the Friday low to be taken on NASDAQ den I will start looking for my buy set-up ,am still bullish bias on both and might likely hold the NASDAQ for the next 2weeks

Bro Sir, i dont think its advisable to quit your job. Gold trading and indices are the easiest ways to skyrocket your account and then loose all the profits, then blow the account away like paper on the runway. Its as easy as that. if its something you can run together with your job , please do. Just have a weekly target or so and enter markets on those active, trending days. If you trade daily, you may run into serious problem, when markets range considering your level of exposure to fx markets.
Even that $3000 as donsheddy said, is not guaranteed that you wont blow it within a month. Think twice and restrategize. we wey don dey trade live since 2007 self never quit our major source of income. we go run out for months and later run back again... na so we dey roll am grin grin grin

If you believe you can, then go for it.

But things pieces of advice...

1. Ensure you have some cash saved up for feeding and misc expenses

2. Make sure you are single (that's nobody depends on you for their livelihood)

Good luck boss. Nothing is impossible if the will is there.

Prop firms (Observe)

Complains = THE FUNDED TRADER

• Manually breaching accounts.
• Hidden rules and termination of live accounts.
• No payouts for heavy amounts.
• Auto breaching accounts regardless if trades are carried out or not.
• Mauled most of their already funded traders accounts after migration.
• DX trade is terrible but, the broker is worst.
A suspicious outage was carried out that liquidated challenges and funded accounts, huge loss for traders. CEO trying to bribe with Dragon challenges, refunds and bonuses. This is to ensure more losses to already funded accounts and progressing challenge accounts. What this means;

If there are 10,000 live funded account, 6K may be affected (assuming many didn't trade during the outage)

However many of them (6K) who trade, let assume 2K have all their accounts in drawdown or breach as STOP LOSS and TAKE PROFITS was ignored by the platform.

Some of those that refuse to trade too was breached. The support will keep beating around the bush and use delay tactics to pin traders.

Migration scandal ! Extra breaches during changing platforms, many withdrawals were revoked. Some LUCKY low figure payouts was accepted.

Summary : Less funded traders, less withdrawals. The breaching will HELP TFT reduce live accounts that may be considered as "THREATS".
TFT is suffering from some level of financial crisis.

There is a conference tomorrow, we will look forward to the update.

=> They then twist and turn asking you to take a new challenge or gift you a silly dragon challenge + 200% refunds to cover up.

Good evening, happy weekend to you all.

AU analysis:

Analysis delivered to 30/01/24 high as the target.

WK: Weekly closed bullish fulfilling ERL and rejected 29/01/24 weekly high. ERL>IRL

D1: Price fulfilled the target of 30th Jan high while printing a gap between Fri low and Wed high.

H4: Bullish DR on H4, I’m anticipating a retracement to discount of the range for long entry and this will line up with D1 gap. -1.5 S.D lining up nicely with low of D1 gap.

COT report: Comm are net long and the hedging program shows that comm are above the equilibrium line within the last 12 months. Also we can see WK and D1 are both bullish.

Journal your trades.

abham:
Good evening, happy weekend to you all.

AU analysis:

AU is bullish in March according to seasonality.

WK: Weekly closed bearish after rejecting a D1 gap (14/02 high and 16/02 low) IRL>ERL

D1: On the daily, price dropped lower all week, only Friday was a healthy bullish day. A bullish engulfing was printed when Friday closed above Thursday down candle open, there is a possibility to see higher prices.

H4: Trend line on H4 was taken out into daily gap. Relative equal lows on H4 which forms PWL may likely be traded to and rejected for price to seek higher objectives, that is if my analysis is right.

COT report: Comm are net long and the hedging program shows that comm are above the equilibrium line within the last 12 months. Also we can see WK and D1 are both bullish.

My target is still 30th January high.

Journal your trades.

Unpredictable though, but when you have a good plan and take it gradually by increasing your trade lots, and compounding it for long, for months, you can then believe in your self more. You will also have a very loosing trades for long and consecutively, but dont over leverage and over trade, and pause when you are not making way forward. But low leverage and low lots will still keep you afloat.

I will also advice you to gradually build a substantial capital by carefully select your trades. Then buy a prop account from a reputable firm like FTMO or 5er. That is how you can expand your trades tentacles and build up. All the best.

Trade Management is an integral part of your trading journey. I got into a sell trade with my small $4 account, was already $25 in profit but market began to reverse so I set another sell stop order. I got triggered into the second trade and was up in profit. Not long after the second trade got stopped out and my balance went down to $1. Although my first trade still in profit but I mismanaged my trade and now I am on a drawdown.

Lesson Learnt

I'm using Exness Broker, go to their website and register and then verify your account using an identification document could be NIN Slip, Passport etc and then deposit, I think the least you can deposit is 10$ which is around 16k Naira and the least you can withdraw is 4,000 Naira.

Thanks, I'll definitely not over leverage, my plan is to continue using the lowest lot till I get to around 50k, then I'll increase it to 0.02.

I've never been a fan of prop firms, but I just checked out the 5%er and they seem solid, their rules are not over the top like others, also been in the game since 016, 5k account is also affordable, I might bite the prop bullets in the next few weeks.

Thanks for the heads up bro, I appreciate.

According to Oilprice, China is still holding the key to 2024 global oil demand. Chinese imports rose in January and February this year compared to the same two months of last year. Despite an increase in China's crude oil imports in the first two months of 2024, it's too early to say how the purchases of the world's top crude importer will impact global oil demand and prices this year, it is proven the oil price still decline below 80 level prices, US Crude oil shows the price now traded at 77.06, it's a drop from previous high 79.43. XTIUSD price could move in the range of 75-80 prices.
