tuzle: If you answered the question honestly, there'd be no need for this your writeup. In Nigeria today, there are people whose salary are 200000 or less who own a car. |

Timoleon: There is no basis for comparison in the first place, it's already flawed because the chasm between 2,000 and 200,000 is mind boggling. The percentage of Nigerians who currently collect 200,000 as monthly salary will not be up to 5%(select few). Meanwhile, the percentage of people in UK collecting 2000 and above as monthly salary will definitely be a higher percentage(majority) For me it just exposes how weak and useless the power of our currency is. One should be ashamed to bring those two figures together as a basis for comparison, in relation to the strength of 2 currencies 1 Like 1 Share |

Timoleon:They didn't buy the car recently, go and find out. They got it before these useless govt policies. Or they are involved in high paying private business or in shading business dealings at the workplace Or they inherit the car from their well to do wealthy parents. Today Nigeria, you can't save and use only salary to buy direct Belgium London used tokunbo car. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Geovanni412:Just imagine what you are saying. are you proud of saying we should go for second hand ?😡 This is very very sad. In recent years past one could conveniently afford to enter market to buy a solid brand new shoe even as a student then in the university with upkeep money. Now as worker earning it is scary to go for brand new solid wears. This is a serious retrogression and indictment on the leadership of this country. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Earning 2k pounds per month in UK is just a little above minimum wage. Nothing special. Rent and utility bills don consume 80% |

Trust me it’s not. Start with a basic package of a good inverter 4 batteries and 4 solar panels then add 4 more solar panels 2 years later then upgrade your batteries at year 4 and you are set and if you like you can upgrade your inverter in year 6. erico2k2: |

VeeVeeMyLuv: Yes. The op didn't say you have to buy the car recently did he? It's you who is adding that. He simply said you can hire a driver from a 200k income and that much is true. There are a lot of hungry people out there who will gladly take the job for 20k. Is it a fair salary? No. But will they take it? Yes. This much is what this thread is about. Can a maid be engaged from an income of 200k? Yes. If you made an offer as a young man who works Monday to Saturday that a maid should come clean your house on Sundays cook and leave and you'd pay her 15k monthly, you'd definitely find someone who will gratefully take the offer. Is it a lot of money in this economy for the maid? No. But will the offer bw taken? Yes. In the present Nigeria, people work for as little as that even for worse conditions. How much does a person employed in a pos shop get paid? Many teachers in small private schools don't take home 20k. Many factory workers take home 25k or less with hard Labor. Many secretaries of really small offices earn 15k or less. Do you really think it is impossible to find someone who will cook and clean 4 times a month for 15k? Or someone who will drive for 20k? 1 Like |

He should stick to the operations of Air Peace and stop granting interviews on things he's not in touch with. How can someone say this even 8 years ago, can a return Air Peace ticket from Lagos to Abuja be bought with N200k? He's there saying someone earning N200k can own a car, have a house help etc.... that's exactly why corruption continues to thrive as this kind of assertions are made by people stealing from their workplaces 1 Like |
