Atalanta's defenders came prepared for Osimhen today. They've succeeded in frustrating him.

Lol, this is the problem with some football fans. Dribbling doesn't correlate with productivity as a winger in this modern football era. Kindly see screenshots of recent games of Salah (the current 2nd best winger in the world, after Mbappe). In all 4 games Salah was one of the best rated players yet he had 0 completed dribbles. A winger who creates more and offers more goal threat is better than a shaku-shaku dribbler like Doku et al. I hope people learn to understand football better to avoid a scenario of equating overall football talent to dribbling talent.

You just self-destructing, my good man, and I'm here for it.

You shared screenshots that showed Salah had at least 3+ goals, assists or chance created in every game.
That is the definition of a beautiful game.

Your ally claims Okereke played beautifully and I actually used the most attainable metric for a winger to check this. It turned out negative.

So here's the autopsy:
Okereke's last game
0 chances created
0 goals scored
0 assists provided

I guess beauty now lies in the eyes of the beholder.

He's had quite a number of chances to score already: a header, a one-on-one chance, which he fired directly at the goalkeeper, and a deflected shot, which hit his legs and then the post. All chances were missed.

His teammates are not the problem.

Osimhen misses another opportunity to score. Once again, he fires directly at the goalkeeper.

Osimhen misses again. Back to back misses in barely a minute. This time around, he jumped around in frustration and slapped the air multiple times, after taking the shot.

Which volley? Which chest? I was referring to the the one where he made a good curved run and then fired directly at the keeper.

Osimhen is arguably the best Napoli player on the pitch ..Atalanta is more solid at the back and more decisive when they go offensive..

Dennis a very good player with ego and attitude, nothing more so coaches find such players difficult to deal with.Don’t be surprised seeing him fallen out with Watford management before the end of the season.
his talent does not tally with his arrogance. For someone so inconsistent he is so arrogant that I always wonder how someone can be so proud.

Charles, me, twist? You don see me twist anything for this thread before? Shey na only me get TV for house to watch the match? What will I gain from twisting anything? After how many years I don spend for this thread, shey na now I go dey twist something?

I dey talk am as e be. You sef you know.

That post you quoted was that of the curved run from just behind the D(arc) of the goal area where he was finally able to go past Hein to get the shot.

The volley you're talking about was the next post I made. Was it or was it not fired directly at the goalkeeper? Even the commentator said that Osimhen made it easy for the goalkeeper to save. So what's the problem?

my problem is that u posted it few seconds after the saved half volley which made me thought that u were referring to the volley

Thought you evaluated his wing performance by only dribbling metrics so I wanted to correct that notion. I guess I jumped in wrongly because I can see you acknowledge other key metrics in your later post (chance created, G+As, crosses etc). No argument here. One love, brother🤗.

Napoli (or his teammates) shouldn't be blamed every time Osimhen blanks. Today he played quite well and had an okay game but his finishing was poor (ref: see the attached screenshot below). Osimhen could have scored a goal or two but there is no need to drag him because every good striker misses (the fact that he sees enough quality chances per game is a good sign of his ability IMO). The goals will keep coming but Osimhen needs to improve on his finishing (especially with his legs and in 1-on-1 situations).

Just score one goal or two penalties, they would start comparing you to an Osimhen that just returned from injury. Forgetting he has 11 goals from 17 starts this season better than Haaland! Mumu peeps all over internet.

The day osimhen will score a brace or hattrick none will mk post on area of his game he needs to improve but once he experiences goal drought in few games you see them complaining that he is always offside or not a clinical finisher forgetting that the same player almost single handedly won the scudetto for Naples last season with other individual awards

Even great like drogba, cr7,Messi, rooney etc hv at a certain period in their career had such experience

Even to an extend some said that Dessers is better than Osimhen, I see the post laugh no gree me see road 🤣🤣🤣

The reason why I take few serious here 🤣🤣🤣🤣

It has been revealed that Real Sociedad striker Sadiq Umar was not one of the players Super Eagles interim coach Finidi George recommended for the friendlies against Mali and Ghana.

The NFF announced a 26-man squad for the friendlies against Mali and Ghana with the understanding that the NFF technical department headed by Augustine Eguavoen compiled this list.

However, it was also understood that Finidi was also asked to make his own contributions to this squad list and in doing so, he did not recommend Sadiq Umar.

Sadiq led a protest in camp after he did not get even a minute of game time in the two friendlies.

His inclusion to the Super Eagles has often generated heated debates because more deserving players were overlooked for him.

He is allegedly favoured by the leadership of the NFF and even his fellow teammates revealed that he often brags about this by describing himself as “NFF boy”.

Sadiq also sparked controversy before the recent AFCON when he was ruled out by a knee injury only for the striker to feature for his Spanish club in a cup tie some days later.
