Osimhen had 2-3 good chances to score today. He really needs to improve his 1v1 finishing and offside awareness. I don’t think I’ve seen him go a game without getting caught offside. Got caught off 2x today.

I don’t really blame him much for not playing sadiq but refusing to give the duo Yusuf and Bashiru playing time, stating the Mali game without an out n out CF, not making his subs early, not starting lookman and not changing his tactics early in the second half

You obviously didn't watch the game.

None of those chances were clear cut chances, the lad was out there trying to make things work out of nothing.

Dessers this season.

17 goals. 7 assists.

Rangers top of Scotland.
Definitely flopped this season, but if he wins the title with Rangers, cult hero status loading...

Bayer Leverkusen were trailing 0-1. Tella came in 85' and changed the game. Almost provided an assist for the equalizing goal. But eventually provided an assist that lead to the winning goal.

Same Tella that was bench for 180 minutes by Africa's Guardiola.

you no see his timely runs which even the commentator mentioned. Baba see, this offside thing is also dependent on how fast his teammates release the ball. Their midfielders like rubbing the ball which is very bad for a fast striker like osihmen. You no dey see man city and quick transition? . A second is enough to get u trapped in an offside position. Osihmen is a fast player. Make una stop all these. The guy is definitely working on his limitation. Today all his runs were well timed. I watched the match.

ever since independence we seem to have been stuck on the "it's my tribe turn" phase when it comes to the selection of leaders in most sectors of the country. Will we ever progress to a period where this mentality will be dropped or are we stuck at this phase till eternity?

It has been revealed that Real Sociedad striker Sadiq Umar was not one of the players Super Eagles interim coach Finidi George recommended for the friendlies against Mali and Ghana.

The NFF announced a 26-man squad for the friendlies against Mali and Ghana with the understanding that the NFF technical department headed by Augustine Eguavoen compiled this list.

However, it was also understood that Finidi was also asked to make his own contributions to this squad list and in doing so, he did not recommend Sadiq Umar.

Sadiq led a protest in camp after he did not get even a minute of game time in the two friendlies.

His inclusion to the Super Eagles has often generated heated debates because more deserving players were overlooked for him.

He is allegedly favoured by the leadership of the NFF and even his fellow teammates revealed that he often brags about this by describing himself as “NFF boy”.

Sadiq also sparked controversy before the recent AFCON when he was ruled out by a knee injury only for the striker to feature for his Spanish club in a cup tie some days later.

Hmm. I'll take this info with a pinch of salt...
Let's see how things unfold

None were clear cut but an elite striker turns half chances into goals. Simple as that.

With 3 half chances, he should bury one.

I’m one of Osimhen’s biggest fans but will still call out where he needs work.

I agree that NFF influenced the choice of Musa to AFCON but saying Sadiq does not deserve his call up is a big conspiracy. There were rooms to select three other players but Paserio refused.

Like I postulated when the issue of Sadiq injury at pre-AFCON came out. I knew there were some forces that wanted him out and the injury came at the right time to send him packing.
Even Paserio said he was surprise at how soon Sadiq got back playing after the team Nigerian Doctors made their shameful analysis. I believe then that the reason was not football related. Now I understand why-- his boastfulness!

Ac milan playing now
Chukwueze starts and seems to be playing well from stats and commentary.
Created a chance and forced a save from the keeper.
Match rating of 4 over 5

From commentary

CHANCE! Chukwueze skips past Biraghi with ease before driving towards the byline and laying a pass off to the penalty spot for Giroud. The France international delays his shot slightly to put the ball on his preferred left foot, but his close-range effort is easily saved by Terracciano.
