there is a reason why people have social media handlers, though that may still not work in a nigerian context, seeing as nigerians have views that westerners - the gatekeepers may find offensive. nigerians rarely think that far ahead

As in.... I really don't understand how person will just go on emotional diatribe without even thinking of his career first. I everything oerson supposed dey first think of his source of income first before anything else .

Barrier breaking stuffs like commercial production of electric cars which would reduce dependence on fossil fuel is groundbreaking

I watched his interview with Don Lemon and saw a very intelligent man

Many of them. Even they are in the majority

I know the left likes to talk down on billionaires but it takes several years of hard work and being extremely smart and ready to take risk to become one

If it's easy everyone here will be a billionaire

Dude - You know the game. Headquarter the company in a tax haven and pay minimum taxes in the country where you are based and where you make the bulk of your income

It is all these profit over everything else games that have so many people you know frustrated over job losses and reduced opportunities.

Elon pays use the available tax laws to his advantage these laws are available to everyone even me if I can have a business on that level

That I'm not able to do what Elon does won't make me hate on him

Profit is what makes business go, no one runs a business as a philanthropy. If he can't make profit then should he continue to run the business at a loss.

Surely it's profit over anything

This is the story of Microsofts first contract when it was a fledgling company

Who was on the board of IBM pushing for them? Bill gates mother

That is where you are wrong. That is the mentality that has killed Boeing. It is the mentality that is leading to offshoring and loss of jobs in the US. It is the mentality that made China a power the US is now struggling with. It is the mentality that meant the US did not have capacity to manufacture masks during covid. The greed for profits over everything else. Or should I say shareholder value. Profit over everything gave you the sacklers and the opoid/fenatyl crisis.

A large part of the decline in the US is this exact veneration of money over everything else.

There was a product Bill Gates brought to IBM, he didn't come empty handed. He had a product to sell to IBM

Elon created zip2 by age 24, by age 30 he had PayPal that's a track record of innovation and brilliance all his life

He is in the very top percentile of innovation and deserves everything that he has coming to him

Give an example of the prosperous society that does not venerate money so we can use them as a guide.

Is it China where they employ 8yr Olds and pay them cents per hour, that is why they are doing well should every country also adopt that method too?

Is that not the same reason why Chinese employers are some of the most hated and dreaded in Africa and no one prays to work for ?

The profit mentality is what brought all the Innovation. It's why the majority of innovation and inventions are done in America, it's why the world's most brilliant minds find their way to America.
It's why America has been the world dominant power for the better part of the century
Again of over 200 countries in the world which one should we adopt their style

Musk did not 'have paypal'

What do you think you would have done if your dad had emerald mines and you did not have to hustle? Or if you were born to an upper middle class background like bill gates? Do you think you too may not have been a billionaire today?

How many of these 'self made billionaires' actually started from the bottom?

Then if your job is being outsourced you should not hold your politicians responsible. It is all about profit.

And the profit mentality of today is based on Jack Welch and quarterly earnings. That is why Boeing is not researching new planes but recycling 747 to 747 max. America is now in late stage capitalism where profits for shareholders are the key and maybe sole driver.

Where is MKO sons among the billionaires in Africa today despite all that was handed to him by his father? Why is Rockefeller grandson not the richest man in America today

How many of the upper middle class children born in the 60s have become billionaires today

It's this trivializing and minimizing hardwork genius and innovation. See all the countries that have done it and how they've turned out

You haven't given us a country out of the over 200 we can look up to for innovation and prosperity

And with jobs being outsourced and all the challenges how many of the affected Americans have hopped and fled to China or to another country where its much better for them there?

Rather the elites of China are coming to have children in America to have children to get a bite and be a part of this declining power

I can’t imagine the number of infection from blood infusion wen patients go suffer post surgery…
I was a victim when my wife was pregnant
Na she collect majority of the blame sha because I have HMO but she refused that she prefers government owned hospital as her first because of experience

I will never forget that day, them chook me the biggest needle have ever since still blood comot, I still have the scars my two hands were condemned because my veins are thin
When I eventually donated this people still collect money from me a half dead man because I don't know the volume they extracted
When she want to deliver, the baby came late and she was tired the doctors advised CS I signed and still pay for blood I didn't even ask for my own blood because that's not thr main issue
Eventually she didn't need CS or blood, bros they didn't refund shishi

It happens both in Govt and private hospital.

The only thing that saved me was that the hospital we used St Raphael was a catholic hospital and during the time they wanted to carry out my wife CS, they told me to go buy 2 pint of blood. I have to source for extra 50k for the 2 points but when I got to the cashier to pay, they were doing 3pm mass prayer, i went back to the Mother & Child building just to be told my wife has already been wheeled into the theater, it was the matron nurse on duty that told me not to bother buying the blood because they have successfully brought our baby out and just rounding up the surgery.

The other lady that gave birth through CS after my wife, the husband already paid for 2 pint of blood, they didnt use it and yet they said the money is non refundable.

The man shout tire, shishi they didnt refund.
