Stop crying and make tangible contributions to the topic. Except you have nothing much upstairs, which won't be surprising, anyways.

What is wrong with all these unity beggars? This country should be disintegrated, so that everyone will go manage his region.

Regionalism is better. People are more united that way by tribes, tongue, and culture and it helps to foster regional nationalism and healthy competition between the regions.

And how did you come to that conclusion?
Re: Akinwumi Adesina Proposes ‘United States Of Nigeria’ by Sapasenator: 8:57pm On Mar 30
We are only united by tribalism and religious bigotry.
Re: Akinwumi Adesina Proposes ‘United States Of Nigeria’ by femicyrus(m): 9:05pm On Mar 30
There is no best suggestion anyone can make for this country to progress that a simple majority will not kick against.

How many kings & emirs do they have in USA?
that primitive system is what someone wants to change in Nigeria with a change of name.

It is politically impossible because any politicians who promises that won't even win election

Regionalism only favors the Hausa, Yoruba and Ibo tribes of Nigeria. What about the other minority tribes who constitute the rest of the population? We are not going back to any stupid regional shit

What if States are carved out for minorities like Gurara State and similar ones in the North? I think most minorities in the South can identify with one State or the other.

Exactly 💯, division along the states line is a waste of time, and would always be business as usual. I hate state government like mad, they contributes absolutely nothing to both human and capital development. Let there be regional governments and the local governments under each of them.

Are we really united? You don't call yourself what you are not. Nigeria problem is beyond name, if we can do away with tribalism and religion, I think that will solve more of our problems.

The best change I love the senate to push for is REGIONAL governments. Dissolve the central dominance to empower each region with option of secession for any of them. Each state should rightfully be independent and any of them can decide to dissociate from any region subject to a supportive referendum from such state. Any can decide to associate with another region (of course, subject to a supportive referendum from the said state and most importantly,) subject to a welcome acceptance from the region courted. Otherwise, the state can be rejected and might have to be drawn back into the old parent region.

Anything about Niger area should be deleted. We were nations in different kingdoms before the evil marriage. Having something like African United Kingdoms is tolerable. Then we federate on the basis of the kingdoms. Alternatively, we go back to regionalism using the six geopolitical zones and those who no wan gree for anyone can have their own regions too or decide which regions to move to. And instead of southsouth southwest, northwest, northeast, etc the regions can be given proper identification such as the Yoruba region, the Arewa region, the Kanuri region, the Igbo region, etc. But if name go cause wàhálà, make we throway am and just use what we already know. If states go work, make we use o jare. Something like the United African States. Make we just move from this unitary evil quick quick.
