The husbands lacks courtesy period. A commenter here gave the perfect analogy, imagine going to a hospital and asking to eat the patients food, some of them might be okay with it, does that mean you should do it?

Lol I heard in South Korea, US, and some other countries, the birth rates are really low. They say that women are slowly revolting. They have many old people but no younger generation to care for them. It's actually a secret team effort. Many women are coming out on social media to say, since we are unappreciated for having babies, you say we did nothing, despite the mental and physical life changes it impresses on me, then why have a baby? Why have a baby and be a breeder only to be treated like nothing by the society I'm raising these kids for? Go through pains and body changes and life responsibilities only to be told you're nothing. I'd rather travel the world. That's what most of these foreign girls are saying. They rather choose to die out as women, than go through all this for nothing.

This particular massive movement of women are saying that until their importance is acknowledged, and they are treated well, they will not have any children. Let's see what happens when men continue with this attitude towards childbearing.

My opinion has always been the same, the lady obviously was not forced, her husband loves her and she loves her husband, what gives you people here the right to curse or belittle her If one's childbirth experience was traumatising, there's other women who didn't have traumatising childbirths so why the hate? You are still generalising... i personally don't even want kids, i prefer we adopt cause i have seen what childbirth CAN (not WILL like it's 100% of the time) do and don't want to take the risk but my woman wants 2 kids, hopefully we get twins and that will be the end of that...
On the korean front, there can be multiple reasons for a situation, the fact that 4b is part of the reason does not mean that my assertion does not stand. 4b is still an upcoming thing and the movement is definitely not old enough to have started affecting korea for several years. If you check, korea's birth rate has been declining way before 4b so you cannot attribute the issue to the movement.

In which culture did women start working immediately after birth? Igbos have the omugwo system, Yorubas have the MIL/Mother/female relative come in. I don't know about the Hausa but I believe in a Polygamous set-up, there are enough wives to run the home such that the new mother is not burdened.

When I saw the caption, my initial reaction was of disdain and I was ready to chastise the man because I love my wife and mum so much that I can't bear to see any woman being maltreated, I can't.
But when I watched the video, I got a sense of a house filled with love and the woman even said she would remarry the guy in another life. It looked like what my wife would want to do if she's fit as she just beleives no one can cook for her husband like herself. So, if there are no complications and the woman feels good and she did look good in that video, then it may not be so bad after all, as long as she hasn't been forced to do it.

So when I wrote the piece above, my wife was pregnant with our 3rd child. She eventually delivered on Wednesday, was discharged on Friday and on Saturday, April 6th, she on her own accord went to the kitchen to make ewa agonyi with the sauce despite my insistence o her not doing anything. So, you see, I was absolutely right that some women would gladly do these things out of their own volition especially when there is love.
