Pls I will like to ask
1) if one has some investment say in treasury bills, is it wise to submit this in addition to ur salary bank statement, will u need to show how u accumulated the funds? Am wondering is I shud just leave that investment out. Cos some times it's like the less information you give the less reason 4 scrutiny. I had a refusal in 2022 because my bank statement had alot of funds flying in and out, the ECO cud not understand, and going thru this thread now I understand my mistake. However I want to submit only my salary bank statement showing only my salary and my monthly expenses. So my question is , should I just submit my 6months salary bank statement and not mention any other investments?
Question 2; Do I need to explain my sponsors bank statement? My husband is sponsoring me and my kids. Last time application I was the only sponsor. I intend to submit his 6months bank statment( savings account) showing the amount he intends to sponsor the trip.
Pls kindly advise. Thank you so much all

Please include your investments - I assume you mentioned in your form that you have some money saved. Your investment will show your savings. The source of the money in your investments should easily be traced to your salary account.

Sometimes the ECO just do as they like cos I see nothing wrong here unless your bank statement is too low to sponsor her.. below was the cover letter on behalf of my own mom and she was granted 6 months

My name is xxxxxxx (passport number: A1xxxx). I am a US Citizen and I reside xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. I am self-employed in Logistics (Air Transportation of Cargo).
I am writing this letter on behalf my mom who is applying for a UK visit visa of 6 months to celebrate my
wife's birthday which we have planned to celebrate in UK.
She is a retired civil servant in Nigeria, she lives in her own her own house with her two dogs, she gets
monthly upkeep from me, we have no relatives or any ties to the UK and hence she has no intentions of
overstaying in the UK.
It has always been a dream of hers to visit London, so it would mean a lot to me if I would finally make
that dream come true. During our time in the UK, I have planned to visit as many tourist attractions as
possible, such as the London Eye, the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, and the National Gallery
among others with her.
While in London, we will stay in a hotel (MOXY London Heathrow Airport) I have already booked for her,
and I will also cover her personal expenses.
As US Citizen, UK is a visa free country for us to travel to, so my wife and I will not be applying for a UK
visa with her.
I have attached proof of my marriage with my wife showing her date of birth, my finances, hotel
bookings, her bank statement, my business registration here in the US, her house documents to prove
home ties to Nigeria and proof of funds to show she will be well taken care of.
As at time of uploading, my mum bank statement could not be obtained due to an email not attached to
online banking platform and she couldn’t walk into a bank by herself due to an injury sustained on her
leg but she has an account balance of N151,390 in her bank account.

Your US citizenship helped your Mum. If you are in the US, she will most likely prefer to stay in the US, not the UK. I hope she enjoys her trip.

No the investments will not reflect in the 6months bank statement I intend to provide, what I mean: I intend to apply in May with an interview date in June when my kids will b on mid term, so the bank statement (6months) will b January to June. The investments were made in November/December. I do not intend to submit my savings bank statement where I previously save money. For the purpose of this visa, I now retain my savings in my salary account which I will explain in my cover late as part of my contribution . I intend to part sponsor my self, while my husband sponsor my kids and me.
So I don not want to mention my savings account so as not to have to provide a bank statement.
I just want to provide my current account showing how much I earn monthly over the 6month, showing my expenses in the 6months and leaving the balance as my saving 4 the trip.
Pls I will appreciate ur candid advice house.
Thank you for ur swift response.

Hello people,

I can't seem to get a free date at ikeja TLS for visa appointment. If I pay flexi, does the mean I can go any date and anytime?

Thank you so much

Make a note of your reservation number and travel dates.

Go to the airline’s website and see if you can change your flight itinerary.

Another way to do this is to request a flight change by calling or emailing the airline or travel agency.

Note that this will probably cost you money.

Any info if UKVI is familiar with electronic bank statement from Access Bank?

The statment is quite bulky so I'm considering using the electronic format.

For the flexi, it seems you still have to select an available prime time. If you select a graded out time, it will advise if you want to go premium. And that's additional payment.
Those guys are just making a ton of money from Naija. It's all sales drive.

Hi Champs good morning, I'm working on a cousins application, well travelled, has 3 Us visas, been to the UK more than 10 times, hisblast 10 yrs Visa expired last year. Kids are in the UK with ex wife, and they've been there while he was visiting. He has more than 5 schenghen visas, turkey, and countless African visas. He is a lawyer and he is been invited by a sibling who is a citizen. He wants to go for 10 yrs again. My concern is he is a civil servant but into estate management and private clients lawyer and gets alot of commission. His salary as a civil servant is less than 300k. I am attaching his payslips and his other account and not the salary account. His expenses are also higher. I need your advice gurus in the house.

grin Civil servant with lots of commission

I mentioned clearly he is into real estate, forex trading, he has personal clients. When you manage rental properties, you get commission when ever rents are paid or a property is sold. Are you clear now?

Yes, very clear. Real Estate and forex trading have a lot in common in Naija. The surest places to sink idle funds and "commissions"

I come in peace ✌ smiley smiley

Keeping checking. They release new dates very early everyday. If you are not in a hurry, you will get a free date for later in April or early May

Simple. Let him use the same set of documents he used for the first 10 years visa he got.

Yes, it's fine. If it's more than 10MB, you need to compress it.

If I have gotten 2 years visa more than 3 times. Can I apply for 10 years visa without applying for 5 years first? I have a well paying job with good financial standing.
Urgent response would be appreciated

Someone that was granted 10 yrs visa before, who has been to England atleast 10 times, knows nothing about UK visa application?! shocked

Tell him he doesn't need to apply. All he needs do is book the flight, he should then go to mmia on the eve of the flight and right before boarding he should phone his son in the UK and tell him to bloody summon his majesty the king from his sickbed to make the airline's pilot see reasons why he is visiting the UK again.

Is possible he has been using agents to process visa all this while. Don’t jump into conclusions

All the more reason he should go back to his agents or are all of them late now as well grin

You really think someone with that record won't have an inkling of what data is being entered for his previous visa applications? Really?! He hasn't been made to answer questions all his life at UK border or for his USA visa interviews all this while he has travelled?!
I'm sure the agents just bring back his passports with ready made visa stamps after paymentgrin

Brok like I am so surprised at the level of thinking. Someone from a good home that started traveling from his 200 level days. Been buying pta at 145 naira to a dollar. Cant even remember half of his trip. I personally have suffered because he can't even furnish me with information coz his was just to travel. So I don't get where this energy is coming from. I am more conversant with applications and very detailed. I saw some loopholes that may not really count but I'm trying to fix his record's now since he has a house, a job he secured after the last visa issued in 2013 that expired last year.and all. An it is an offence to help someone who was even telling me he wants to go and pay his visa fee at the application centre. A lot have changed bro.
