Which banks would you recommend for getting a mortgage. I am on a work visa.

Please anyone have experience of updating updating visa by changing jobs or role on a sponsored role with the same employer. Currently sponsored on EO got HEO and saw on gov website that a new application will still be made with new IHS, is it possible to get refund for the previously paid Ihs when the current sponsorship is still leads than 2 months.

You can start off by reaching out to L&C Mortgages they offer free mortgage advices.

Send your insurance company a letter detailing everything + highlighting your change of address etc etc

Also request a deadlock letter on their position and inform them you would be escalating this incident to the financial ombudsman.......

Thanks... not that the insurance was cheap. Thinking in line of a formal complaint before further escalation if need be. Sent them a straight-worded message yesterday. They agreed I could change the v5c address myself and send the updated one to them (sounds awkward) and they have taken a note for the relevant team to look into it. Annoyingly, its online only hence you can’t speak to anyone except when making a new claim.

Thanks guys!! I'm smiling as I am typing. I didn't know what to expect but I am overwhelmed. I have had 32 responses and counting in less than 24 hours. Yes you can ....... But EHIC does not cover medical repatriations (if required)....... So get an additional travel insurance to cover (non EHIC coverage)........

From my experience, your HR is being unreasonable (if indeed they are asking for a Right to Work Share code at this stage).

You mean the company interviewed you, you met all their requirements , they issued you Certificate of Sponsorship. You used the CoS to apply for, and got a valid visa. The HR of that same company is asking you for a share code to prove your right to work, even when you’ve not yet resumed work (for them)

This is a strange one to me.

To attempt answering your question:
Write back to the HR, with a copy of the Visa vignette stamped in your passport (if it hasn’t changed recently , the employer code will be clearly visible on the vignette). Tell the HR that the process is:
Visa issued-UK entry-BRP collection-Share code generation.
Simply put: you can’t (successfully) generate a RTW share code without a BRP.

PS: I am a bit of a dinosaur so things may have changed.
