I think some schools sent PALs along with LOA for those that applied recently. Hwever, it won't be out of place if you mail your school to inform them you re expecting the PAL, inorder to apply for your study permit. OTSAMUEL: |

OTSAMUEL:each school has its rules and how to go about it. My school sent mine to me without needing to request for it. They only sent an email to make sure we pay tuition deposit and waited for our letter. I got mine on Tuesday |

Hey guys. Does anyone have link to a contact that does Police Clearance Certification? Or has done it recently? I mean the old and manual one, not the online version. Kindly refer. Thanks, |

JustMellow:Good day boss, Please can you help me to clarify this. I want to submit my visa application soon. My sister had earlier paid in 30million into my account in lump on Nov last year. So I intend printing my statement of account reading from December. My question is do I still have to explain the lump sum even though it won't show in my statement considering that I will print from Dec which is one month after the fund was transferred. Also, to use as home ties, I intend to finalise my marriage plans with my girlfriend by next month and getting Certificate of marriage from our customary Court. Is this advisable and can it be used? Also she is currently a month pregnant, can I aswell state this in my SOP and do I need to provide the documentation to back up the pregnancy? Thanks Please can someone help me with this |

Devasia:Having a heavy opening balance without proper explanation of how you got to accumulate the funds will not fly for most VO. I have seen significant number of gcms notes noting that. . So it's important you print the statement to show when the 30million came in and explain the source of the funds with proper documentations. The most important thing is convincing them your sponsor is capable to gift you such money and the money was genuinely your sponsor's own and show relationship btw you and your sponsor. So all supporting docs from your sponsor including her bank statement must be submitted. Yes you can add your marriage certificate. Also add well documented gallery of pics telling them that despite being recently married, you and your spouse have been together for quite a while. If you can label the pics with the year each was taken and the event it was taken, that will be perfect. Since she is staying back, you can state it that she is pregnant, will be staying back under the Care of say your mum while you are away studying and you can't wait to return home to Nigeria to your young family after your study in Canada. Goodluck |

Hello good morning. Please I have some questions to ask. 1. My sponsor said he has enough proof of funds but they’re not in his bank account; they’re in forms of treasury bills, shares and Federal government bonds, and even his pension. How do I prove with this? Can I just use these documents as proof of funds? 2. Also, I’m applying for a 1 year graduate certificate course. Is there any luck of me being able to be eligible for PR during my stay there? Will greatly appreciate if I could get enough responses this, thank you! |

Devasia:Hello Devasia, If after December 2023 - date there are no lump sums, you are good to go. The next focus then should be to justify your economic means to commensurate with your inflow earnings. Your marriage and unborn child are traditional and a good form of home ties, but try to prove tangible economic ties too. Best Wishes! |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JustMellow: 10:55am On Apr 05, 2024 |
ColdHunter:Hello ColdHunter, Your POF in inclusion of the full funding /scholarship is very sufficient. Your personal balance shouldn't be a problem because of the presence of the scholarship and sponsor's funds. Any lump sums in your sponsor's bank account should be documentarily explained. Also, include your pay stubs for 4 - 6 months. What is the level of the program and course? Best Wishes! |

The elders for this group, I need your help o. I have applied to a school that the professor accept to supervise me with full funding in Canada. Currently, I'm waiting for their decision. However, my worries now is what should I be doing while I wait for my decision? Again, I was denied US student visa last year. Can this affect my Canada student permit decision? |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JustMellow: 10:59am On Apr 05, 2024 |
Kost:Hello Kost, Best to wait. If you apply without the PAL, your application will be withdrawn by IRCC and your application fees returned. Best Wishes! |

OTSAMUEL:Hello OTSAMUEL, It will be issued to you by your school. Best Wishes! |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JustMellow: 11:21am On Apr 05, 2024 |
Ajoself:Hello Ajoself, While you wait for the funding approval, keep your bank account busy to help you show stable economic means. Your US denial wouldn't affect your application to Canada only if it is declared in the IMM 1294e form. What school and study did you apply to? Best Wishes! |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JustMellow: 11:31am On Apr 05, 2024 |
NicoleThelma:Hello NicoleThelma, For the study route, the best form to show POF is liquid funds in the bank account. Any other POF can be secondary. After graduation, you stand a chance of becoming a PR if the eligibility is met. You can always apply for PR via the PNP or CEC route. Best Wishes! |

We're a family of 5, and by God's grace landing in late May/ early June this year as PR. Please can we connect? I have lots of questions to ask if you wouldn't mind. Sent you an email. Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks in advance. 🙏 Emma549: |
