Did you see that Race between her and Thembi Kgatlana?? Omor Ayinde is the real Veteran in that Midfield even as Pacy as kgatlana she still beat her to the ball I was like this Ayinde is called Elder 4 a reason by her teammates!

She will be 29yrs by May and currently the most Experienced, Calm and Calculative. Her passes and the way she turns is just so Superb.. Our Very own Sergio Busquets.

No Jermaine
No Linda
No Kgatlana

All because of our Busquets, Declan Rice and Bellingham.

Most painful takeaway from this game, even more than the scoreline, is that despite the overall knowledge of who was in goal for the Banyana, we still didn't prioritize shooting at her. She's no good at all. Why wasn't this done? 😑😑😑
I trust Okobi and Oparanozie. If na them... O pari. I hope they do that in the 2nd leg. I don't want this tie to be more of Not taking our chances vs We no get chance.

Gameplan Pretoria- If we no score, then we aren't conceding either. Oya now..

We still need to understand something that the
Young and Energetic duo of Ucheibe or Abiodun need to be paired with someone very calm and intelligent to help Calm things down as they roughen up things for opponents..

One of the reasons i can’t even remove her from the Midfield for any of the Younger ones, Play Ayinde and pair her with Ucheibe or Abiodun, But again any moment she retires we already have Ucheibe and Abiodun to rely on and also the Combative duo of Regina Otu and Amanda Mbadi, Foreign born Elisha Sulola.. Infact Younger ones are also coming up ( Chinyere Kalu, Yina Adoo)

Great point, but Abiodun is calm though. Not sure we've seen a player in her mold before in the team. She's different

Randy Waldrum on Ihezuo vs SA

“(Chinwendu) Ihezuo was fantastic, she was the player of the match even if she didn’t score, her hold-up play was great, she has been playing well in Mexico this season, I think they were not prepared for her.”

I think Debbie is getting better and better by the Day…. and tends to play well with Ayinde and Ucheibe, Infact any of them she plays with she delivers… The Red Card against Canada at the World Cup really Made us miss more of her Exploits then which we would have seen earlier on…
Our Kitmen need to do something about these shorts though. Make Dem dey take measurements before production.

Desiree Ellis said that she decided to have the South Africa leg of the tie at Loftus Stadium in Pretoria because of the altitude, but some South African fans are not happy with that decision because they say that there are too many Nigerians in that area.

Hoped we had scored more, but I'm really comfortable where we are. The South Africans were impotent for the most part yesterday. If we can come up with a solid defensive plan (which Randy is good at) we will carry the day. I think we'll also convert better in South Africa.

Hopefully Nigerians in South Africa turn up to support the girls.

There's a rumor that Pittsburgh team is interested in shukurat oladipo, the team Deborah abiodun plays for in USA

Randy waldrum is said to be interested in the youngster because of her versality

That would be the Younger version of Rita Chikwelu as she’s very calm with the Ball with her fine long passes but she very aggressive with her tackle and challenges.

If true That’s a very good news, Shukurat is very versatile as she can play anywhere on the field apart from Goalkeeping… I wonder why she’s playing as Center Back for the Falconet when she mostly plays as a forward or midfielder for FC Robo.. She’s Strong and very Calm too.

Thembi Kgatlana says the "bad pitch" of the MKO Abiola Stadium was a game strategy from Nigeria to prevent them from playing the ball.

She said "you pass the ball and it doesn't bounce, it just drops there."

She says they will play well in South Africa where they have "better facilities."

Does her comment deserve attention from the football authorities in Nigeria?

...she still does not believe that counter did not work for them because of personnel Nigeria used and not the pitch...She will find out in S.A in a few days.....They don't know...This is not to excuse the terrible attitude of NFF towards facility management.

She doesn’t know yet, She forgets that the Falcons will have time to train and also get better for the Second leg, If their Pitch is better it will be a Big Plus for us too as our players will be able to do their thing very well…

One big advantage we also have over SA is our bench. If the 'altitude' later comes into play, we have a bench that's more than capable to change the game. Imagine your defence facing Ajibade, Kanu and Ihezuo for about 60 minutes only for Oshoala, Esther and Rinsola to come in. Even though we are a bit 'short' in other departments.

The thing about the pitch is true but Nigeria can still be them in SA.

But we'll also play better on a good pitch. All of our players play abroad so good pitch is to our advantage. The only advantage South Africa has is the altitude and the fact that they will be playing at home.

Seriously, the NFF massively dropped the ball, yesterday, with regard to the live broadcast of the match.
If both the NTA and AIT are broke to pay the NFF to broadcast the matches, then it’s up to the NFF to buy its own broadcast cameras for that purpose.

After all, the NFF receives billions of Naira every year, so those equipments wouldn’t be a drain on their resources.
There are several cheaper broadcast tech solutions out there that do not require the use of an OB van. With 3-4 broadcast cameras, you would be able to alternate the views via an app on a laptop, while you use adequate internet hotspot.

…probably not, considering the large Naija population living in Pretoria

A large Nigerian population in Pretoria doesn't necessarily translate into a large fan base in the Stadium on Tuesday. The NFF also haven't done a great job with advertising the game. Also, safety concerns could deter Nigerians living in SA from coming cause SA looks for the flimsiest of reasons to launch xenophobic attacks.

Hopefully we get a sizeable number despite all of this.
