YES.

Somebody who killed several people for rituals will not get the same punishment as someone who was stealing goats and chickens in the village
That means hell is divided into sections. There are sections for people who steal goats and section for murderers?

What about people who steal pen, pencil and meat in the pot?

Let's assume there is. That is how I have been living my life. Just follow the Ten Commandments. If after death we discover there is no Hell, then we would have lost nothing
It does not still make any sense.
Why should I follow the ten commandments of a God who loves to burn people in fire forever?
On what basis would he prove that he is a loving God that deserves my worship?

Happy sunday.

The bible talks about hell and death been cast into the lake of fire.(Rev20:13-15)
This means every unsaved person is going to be swimming in fire for all eternity.

What about people who were unlucky to exist before the gospel got to their location? E.g people who lived and died before the gospel got to Nigeria.

What about most people in countries e.g north korea and other such countries who have little to no knowledge about christ?

What of people who were unfortunate(they're all going to hell) to be born into say islam, budhism, hinduism and other religious movements? You might say these people should simply convert to christianity just by hearing the gospel, but switching religion isn't that simple. They are plugged to their faith the same way you have been indoctrinated and plugged to yours.

What about other sects of christianity that aren't getting it right?

Are all of this people going to be thrown into the lake of fire recieving same punishment as shekau or Hitler for all eternity?
I have the answer but it's but it will take time because you may demand proof of what I am saying. So if you really what to hear the answer. We can chat on WhatsApp

Jeremiah 7:31
They have built the high places of Toʹpheth, which is in the Valley of the Son of Hinʹnom, in order to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, something that I had not commanded and that had never even come into my heart.’

God has not changed..... He condemned the burning of people in the past.
What makes you think he has changed?

1 John 4:8
Whoever does not love has not come to know God, because God is love.

How can a God of Love burn people in fire?
It defies logic.
If we cringe as humans when people (criminals) are tortured or burnt in fire, how much more God in whose image we are made.

Romans 6:23
For the wages sin pays is death, but the gift God gives is everlasting life by Christ Jesus our Lord.

As clearly explained above the punishment for sin is death.... Not eternal torment in a fire.

At death we have paid the ultimate prize of our sins.
Romans 6:7
For the one who has died has been acquitted from his sin.

there are those who wait until death to realise the truth.

If there was no resurrection then what you said would be true.

This makes no sense. What about people who lived and died without the knowledge of christ, would they be resurrected and tortured by satan for a second chance?
Yes, they will all be resurrected to choose where they want to spend eternity.
Indeed, the workings of the almighty often defy human understanding due to the inherent disparity in intelligence.

lols. I don't support the idea of people getting burnt for all eternity for any reason.

This is a part of christianity i still struggle with.

Everyone will pass through hell to get to heaven that is what is in the Bible but most preachers don't teach it you will be purged for the sins you committed on earth as soon as you are purified you will be admitted and welcome by your heavenly father the degree of your punishments is according to your sins .....Even our Lord Jesus went to hell for 3 days so if you are a very bad guy you will last longer than an average sinner the Bible said for all have sinned and fallen short of God's Glory ....it also state that nothing unclean shall see God's Glory ....even further our Righteousness is like a filthy rag in God's eyes so there has to be a system to purify the soul of man it dose not matter the religion you practice the only thing that can purify man's soul is Fire so we can walk inthe streets of Gold but from here na Fire direct

The hellfire doctrine is a satanic lie that paints God as a cruel, heartless and wicked being.

Instead of drawing us closer to God, it actually separate us from him.

God gave us freewill and wants us to serve him out of love for him..... And not because of a morbid fear of being burnt alive.

lol hellfire doctrine

Well Jesus did go about preaching Repent for the kingdom of God is at hand

He wasn't saying repent for hell is real

But He and John did say, "flee from the coming wrath" also Peter's first recorded message in acts.

Well none of God's children will go to hell, not sure if that's counts as an uncruel God to some so.

No. Not according to Islam. U less you were approached with the word, there is no consequence.

It is both.
You should love and fear for what it is to come if you are not righteous.

Yes, I believe there are levels and they will be judged according to what is recorded in the books of what they've done.
Also, only those who are in Christ will avoid the punishment that is in hell, whatever levels that they deserve, because the righteousness of Christ is imputed on them.

What happens in death?

According to this logic, what is the point of being righteous when you can just die as in cease to exit, no consciousness? Nothing is nothing. No consequence. You are not dad, you are just no more. How is that a punishment?

Biblically they all go to hell!

Except a man be born again he shall never see the kingdom of God. John 3:3

But Islamically,...they will be tested by the Almighty on that ressurection day and if they obey Him and pass they will enter paradise. If they disobey His command, they will be doomed to hell.

Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): “And We never punish until We have sent a Messenger (to give warning).” [Al-Isra 17:15]

And there many levels of hells as established in the Islamic texts!

This life is a test. Hell and Paradise are the rewards!
In addition according to bible there is just a hell someone who stole #10 and the person stole #10 billions will be in the same category
And someone who killed a person and someone who steal food (don't let me used the word steal because stealing in the Bible is permissible)
And the person sleep with another woman will be in the same category.. my questions is, is the Jesus or God is a just person like that

Your body pain is just level 1. Level 2 is the type you.suffer when your wife bleeps another man. See no pin is touching your body yey you are in PAIN

Not true.

There is what we call reincarnation.
Its gives the perfect opportunity for rewarding both good and bad past lifes.

Our ancestors knew about and believed it.

Before Christianity came with their nonesense.

You understand absolute power and all that comes with it but it is spirituality and you find it hard to understand that it is a possibility of a being possessing that much absolute power that can create and destroy. You can't understand that how it is impossible for this world to exist without a designer given the extreme complexity of the world.
Re: Are There Degrees Of Punishment In Hell? by Truvelisback(m): 10:11am On Apr 07
Yes. As a matter of fact, the more terrible your sins are, the hotter the punishment.
Re: Are There Degrees Of Punishment In Hell? by Sterope(f): 10:11am On Apr 07
What is Satan's punishment? Your interpretation has made a second god.

shortgun:
Biblically, anyone not saved by Jesus Christ will not go to paradise with Christ when rapture takes place and the people left behind including the ones who didn't have the opportunity to be saved in their life time will be given a second chance to redeem themselves through unimaginable torture and persecution in a world ruled by Satan.

Quran 39:6 says:

He created you from one person, then made from it its mate, and brought down cattle for you. Eight pairs He creates you in the wombs of your mothers, in successive formations, in a triple darkness. Such is Allah, your Lord. His is the kingdom. There is no god but He. So what made you deviate?

“And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay. Then We placed him as a drop of sperm, firmly fixed. Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood, and of that clot We made an embryo; then We made out of that lump, bones, and clothed the bones with flesh. Then We developed another creation out of it. So blessed is God, the best of Creators”
Qur'an 23: 12-14

I don't know if you remembered cell theory but God clearly says you are a design. Have you actually considered how complicated the world is? Do you take time to understand what the world is truly like, the human body for example? You think it just happened like on its own without a plan just like that?

You are asking the wrong question and even if you get the answer - you will not be satiated.

Instead of asking about the difference btw low and maximum security prisons and whether rapists are treated better than terrorists inside either....

The right question is what can I do to ensure I and and as many people within my reach never have to go to prison in the first place?

The first question leaves you asking even more questions and doing absolutely nothing while the second gets you taking positive action immediately.
