According to reports in the Romanian media, CFR Cluj owner Ioan Varga has revealed that he has been contacted by Brighton & Hove regarding the transfer of Nigerian forward Philip Otele.

Varga claimed to have demanded Β£6m, almost €7m (approximately N9.3 billion in Nigerian currency), plus 20% of the sell-on fee if Otele departs the Seagulls before the expiration of his contract.

Mike Cave, the head of the scouting department of Brighton, says he will inform the management of the Premier League club of the demands for the transfer of Otele.

Despite Otele tied to CFR Club until at least the end of the 2024-2025 season, speculation about his future is rife after his consistent performances for the Railwaymen in the ongoing season.

In 38 appearances across all competitions, the Nigerian has directly participated in twenty goals (13 goals, 7 assists).

26-time Romanian Liga 1 champions FCSB have been quoted a fee of six million euros to sign Otele.

"At the moment we have no other offer for Otele apart from Brighton in England. They are thinking about what I proposed: 6 million pounds and 20% of a future transfer," Ioan Varga told iamsport.ro via GSP.

"The head of scouting from them (Mike Cave) said that we stay in touch, that he will talk to the management. I told Gigi Becali 6 million, but in euros, because he is here, in Romania.

"We asked those from Brighton for 6 million pounds. That means about 7 million in euros."

If Otele's transfer to Brighton & Hove goes through, he will surpass Alvaro Pereira (sold for 6.5 million euros to FC Porto) and Lacina Traore (transferred for 6 million euros to Kuban Krasnodar) as the most expensive footballer ever sold by CFR Cluj.

In general Managers will start with a good quality club and prove themselves before moving to a big club.

Very rarely will you start at a big club.

In this regard Real S B is a good point to start from.

I repeat, Xabi Alonso had no top coaching experience before Leverkusen. So, I wonder what you are trying to argue. Good starting point is not the discussion at all.

Does not change that Muller has more goal contributions than the magical touch.

2021 is 3 years ago. Right now, Chelsea isn't gonna make next season's UCL. Soon that will be 4/10 of a decade.

I never called PSG goodluck and they are not my PSG. Typical of you to always twist things.

I am just saying your Chelsea is in a bad state so definitely can't be the best move for Osimhen as well.

Arsenal is a better bet than Chelsea in my candid opinion.

Period.

Nope my good man. But Muller himself points out that same fact doesn't make him better or bring him close to the magic that was Zidane.

Your personal opinion though. 3 years ago the same Chelsea was in a "bad state" but dem won against all odds.

The point remains you don't know anything about Chelsea because if you do, you will not open your mouth claiming good luck and stability don leave Chelsea.

That's being ignorant because when was Chelsea ever stable?

This dude is even claiming this will be 4/10 decades Chelsea will be missing Champions league.

Hello! Chelsea still played in UEFA Champions league last season and even got to the quarterfinals.

So stop that 4/10 decades misyan. Buy.

But Chelsea won't be in next season's UCL. You prefer Osimhen missing next season's UCL? You prefer Osimhen walking into the unstable atmosphere of your club right now?

That says everything about what kind of Fan you are. Lol

@bolded... I said it was 3 yrs ago since you won the UCL. And it will be 4 years by the time next season comes around and nears its end. That is 4/10 in a decade count.

You are just emotional right now about your club that it is making you not read properly. Lol

@BOLDED... 3 yrs ago, Chelsea wasn't in a bad state. They finished 4th in the EPL and still won the UCL, same season. So what you say about them having a bad state is UNTRUE. VERY UNTRUE.

Lastly @OTHER bolded... this point is so poor. Napoli also reached the Quarters of Last season's UCL. So that suggests Osimhen should remain at Napoli too abi.

Truly, Forgiveness you shot yourself in the foot several times in your respone. You make no cogent or true points at all. From twisting, to lying and to talking emotionally like any biased Chelsea fan would... you only ended up saying nothing solid. Lol
