Since the AFS has been approved by the Board and sent to FRC, are we sure some people have not seen it?

Sure. Insiders must have seen it and those close to the regulatory authority

You are not alone here. I should have sold some DS when it was N59 last week and re-enter at below N53 maybe tomorrow. Anyway all is well. At last patience will be key.

Consider the average 5 years trend, profitability of the business and earning quality.

Instead of dropping in a screener, I will do it manually for stocks on my watchlist.

Some of the stocks that appeared on the screener are dead.

Capital intensity of a business is also dependent on the industry. You can't compares the capital intensity of Julius Berger with that APR

delvzy:

I will advise you to do it based on sectors rather than just making comparisons haphazardly.

For the return on net tangible assets (RONTA), look for one with at least 20%.

Use the formula;
RONTA = Net Income / Net Tangible Assets

To find the Net Tangible Asset use;
Total Assets (-) Total Liabilities (-) Intangible Assets

If he wanted, he would have done it long time ago the way Ardova did. I think he needed the drama to tidy the results up. You might not be far from the truth, he wanted to turn a new leave now. "I think he needed the drama to tidy the results up" == in hindisght (20/20), this is looking more like the intention.

"You might not be far from the truth, he wanted to turn a new leave now"== i would not bet on this, i would rather say my goals are aligned with his. the day that goals does not align again you would really understand that he has not turn any new leave (or tree)

WT like most (if not all) Nigeria big man are driven by ego (forbes thing e.t.c.) so you can be rest assured since they are in government that would be on his top radar also. so Oando might not be going anywhere, might even witness a lot of pumping once the AFS are sound enough i.e. post release of AFS for 2022 and 2023 FY

( i am seeing/dreaming something like the AP / Otedola saga from sub 10 to over 300)

I think Mr. Market just have a way of placing these stocks in their respective positions......but, looking at this comparison, I think ACCESS is grossly undervalued compared to the prices of GT and ZEE.

If only we can see UBA and FBNH on the table as well.

Thanks for this table. Very informative.

ACCESS' undervaluation may be linked to its expansion spree which has entailed buying off underperforming entities. That carries some risks which investors will naturally price in.

However, I recall pre-expansion(including Diamond Bank acquisition), Access used to be one of the most efficient banks. Long term investors need to closely monitor how they bring that traditional efficiency to bear on the acquisitions outside Nigeria. ACCESS looks like a long-term gold mine. Risky play. But the risks are not life-threatening. They are more of "opportunity-cost" risks.

Looking more and more like he needed the drama to tidy things up and come out bragging of the turnaround he has led. It's cross deals at bargain price not dumping......that's my opinion though..... and what it looks like..

Despite the "punishment" for GTCo, heavy cross deals are still ongoing....

Some hefty cross deals in ZENITH @39/39+ too....

The 67M+ units costs N2.6bn only

But make him stay up like SEPLAT and not fall back like AP
Make him embrace quarterly dividends like global oil companies that SEPLAT has emulated.
