You have been learning economics from the man who receive advice from the mad man and his supporters.

Who tells you that it's just fiscal policy that influences the values of currencies?....its majorly monetary policy. Many countries have positive balance of trade but still have weaker currencies relative to Dollars.

Okay, from a lay man point of view, what increase happened to our imports within 2months of jumping from 900 to 1900??

Mr. Cardoso, a genius

He will surely be a genius if the naira exchanges at N200 to a dollar where the APC met it in 2015.
Before it was where tinubu met it. Now it looks like it's going back to where tinubu met it with Nigeria in a better economic state.
Now you changed it to where APC met it lol.

You know that saying, anything that goes up in Nigeria never comes down.

This is the first of it kind, besides when it went up during buhari how much did it come down, even GEJ, or you forget there was a time Naira and dollar was the same.

GEJ met dollar- Naira @ 119, he left it at 230, that is almost 100% increase, oh! You think math was invented in your Geopolitical zone.

Nobody has ever forced this kind of reduction, before you quote me use your thinking cap, I don't respond to idiots.

tge demand for dollar reduced. People can't buy imported goods or import dependent produce fast enough to make the importers demand the old level of forex they used to. That means more dollar to meet lowering forex demand. Plus crude prices spiked a little. Export volume also jumped but is on a decline as I type this.

People saying N5000 to a dollar forgot that Nigerians have limited Naira to demand for forex driven goods.

I just hope and pray that the government should try and sustain this process because our national reserves is depleting but in as much ₦ is appreciating no problem but sustainability is the key. ₦ is coming of 700. Another thing is for prices of goods and services to drop. God bless Nigeria
