Its just common sense, your $1000 will always buy items worth $1000 but you can not guarantee your N1000 buying the same loaf of bread tomorrow morning
your common sense is back ward sense.

$1000 that was kept when it could have been converted to 1.8 million naira a month ago is now 1.1 million naira. You have lost 700,000 naira in one month.

The odds that naira will strengthen with the refineries releasing more local products to the market is high.

Evil bitterness and Witchcraftry blinds people to see common sense in idiocy.

You are not making any sense! That fact of the black market has always been the case even from when I was a kid in that same Nigeria. Yet, that didn't result in average Nigerians acquiring dollars to keep for themselves or something. Why? Because average Nigerians living in Nigeria barely even have Naira-5K in their bank accounts. Your government admitted to only 5% of the people having above N 500,000 in their bank accounts. So, how many of them do you know of that have dollars let alone $1000 in their hands as we speak? undecided

5k?
Oga I currently have 300k in my account.
There are lots of Nigerians that has up to 50-100k
Goodnight, I am tired of explaining

Arrghhh! So the over 120 million Nigerians living in poverty situations, who constitute the average Nigerians out there living in Nigeria, equally have as much as you do in their bank accounts? grin

The lie and propaganda government is simply subsidising the dollar just as they are doing with the fraudulent fuel subsidy case. This is because the price of goods and services are not on a commensurate downward trend as the dollar is allegedly doing. This is why Reno Omokri propaganda of recent is only focused on this issue.
I just wonder why Tinubu's blind supporters keep praising him for the crashing of the dollars. Who caused the same dollars to rise in value against the naira if not same tinubu? He met it at 702 and now they're praising him for the naira rescue, the measure he castigated buhari for( saying it doesn't make sense rescuing the naira with tje dollar).

Expect more propaganda while his 4-year tenure lasts. Are you aware that 2 facilities of the Nigeria breweries will be shut down this week due to Tinubu's poor policies? More job losses are inevitable.

Nigeria is the only country where the multinationals are leaving in droves. It doesn't happen in other African countries, check it. Guess where they're leaving for...Ethiopia, Ghana, North Africa and Kenya.

Whether you saddists like it or not, we shall see the Nigeria of our dream and the country will be great again as soon as possible

You are both on the same page. He is basically saying lots of average Nigerians don't keep dollars. So this Aishat Yusuf advice on sabotaging the economy is only likely directed at politicians or people that are not the average Nigerian. Aishat is part of the problem plague-ing Nigeria

Nigerian opposition figures should learn to separate opposition politics from negativity towards the very country and its institutions which they seek to lead.

You can dislike the present government and how they are going about leading or defending the naira. However, that doesn’t mean you then advocate unpatriotic behaviours in your followers. Like asking them to buy dollars when they don’t need to. In some saner countries this could be read as economic sabotage which is a crime.

Same thing I see done to the Army, Police etc. Politicians deride them forgetting they will oversee these institutions if they take over power.

If you eventually become president or governor, is it not the same naira you will seek to grow and boost? That’s how people get accused of “whataboutism” years down the line.

Opposition is the oil for democracy. Too many other saner people still see Tinubu as an illegitimate president judging from the most deceptive and most bastardized election process which brought Tinubu to power. The Judicial process is not something saner country's judiciary can touch even with a long spoon.
How many 3rd world countries still use manual collation of votes results?
Which other country's court would not ask the INEC Chairman: if your transmission system developed a problem, why didn't you suspend the transmission/collation process momentarily, and restore the system, thereafter, continue the transmission/collation process?

It doesn't matter whether or not what you said above is right, but the reality now is that Tinubu is the president of Nigeria and it's risky for anyone speaking like that against him. Speaking against president like that is daring someone who has power to abandon her in the cell like Buhari did to Kanu

Seriously this woman does not have brain.
2months ago, if u have a $1000k, u can buy N1.8m worth of goods.
Now that ur 1k dollar can only buy N1m.
If u decide to take this advice, ur 1k dollar may only buy N700k worth of things in the near future.
No wonder Obi decided to take advice from a mad man instead of his supporters
thats for one out of all countries.

This is the reason all of you are suffering in Nigeria. You can’t challenge your leadership. You u are cowards. A government that sank her citizens into poverty overnight should not be supported. People like you accept everything that comes your way. You guys are the most useless people on earth. Anyone supporting this government is a coward.
We thought Buhari was clueless. Tinubu is Pro Max. Imagine a bottle of soft drink selling for N400, ordinary biscuits sell for N70 and you get mouth to castigate those who have balls to challenge an irresponsible government. You sef be cannot.
So, do you believe in changing your country by cursing it or contributing your part. What alternative solution has Aisha offered to the problems of the country other than to be bitter that her candidate lost election? Is that how opposition is done in developed countries? Praying for things to get worse and Happy when it does and call it propaganda when things are going right? My believe is that we can disagree with govt without wishing the country evil.
